I'm clicking on sunshine, wooo-ooooh!

CHUCHEL is coming soon, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Ohh, what's that? Quick, let's click on it! Coming from the creators of Samorost and Botanicula, it's bound to unleash a pandemonium of zanny animations, wacky sound effects, and whimsical delights upon us. Just poke at everything that moves or looks like it might, while helping the perpetually aggravated Chuchel obtain one very elusive cherry. He really REALLY wants it, you guys.

nightcraw1er.488: It looks like something created by pre-schoolers for other pre-schoolers, thinking children's cartoons here. Insta-ignored.
Do you know the Amanita games? They always have a certain child-ish look but they ooze charm and creativity in spades. Of course one would have to like this kind of graphic style to enjoy it. Maybe try a demo when it is released. Normally they always do free DRM-free demos on their web site when they are releasing new games.

Pre-school drawings also ooze charm and creativity in spades, but if you lay these side by side to something Amanita puts in their games and say that they look alike... I don't know, you would also say the mona lisa is a stick figure, we're talking amateurs playing in the super bowl here

Sorry, but it's like saying that Animal Farm, Watership Down and South Park are childish, just because how they look like at first sight. I don't know the game, perhaps you're right in this case, but I doubt it may be categorized that way.

When I exited the cinema I was nearly screaming "THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN - OH NO!". What a great and disturbing experience this was.
high rated
Amanita is our national treasure :) must buy ;)
Awesome! Amanita Design is one of those developers giving life to an otherwise dead industry! Will definitely buy on launch!
Yeah, okay, the trailer had me wishlisting this. :)
Fun

Nope. They might have, not for me though. The video provided was enough to put me off.

Why is it like saying that? I watched the video provided, read the decription, and looked at the screenshots and then came to my result. If I did the same and watched a video of south park I would have to find the one 2 minute section where it is not adult to come to any conclusion that it's for kids, doesn't mean I have to see every episode ever just to come to a conclusion. I just poked at a screenshot from the new call of duty, obviously I can't tell com that if it is an fps set in ww2?

Which industry would that be if I might ask? Gaming industry? Not dead. Adventure games? Not dead ... maybe flash games but even they still are not dead.
Usually really enjoy their games, hoping this one is the same. Anyone else think the backgrounds look decidedly plain though? They're not often like that, but maybe this is a sample of stuff still in development?

that was my main thought when watching the trailer aside from it seeming like it's trying to be cutesy for cutesy's sake I guess because that sells to kids and adults with adolescent brains?

Well it's dead to me if it weren't for the indie scene and GOG. And I mean the gaming industry obviously. You're mentioning genres.....
