Flow like chaos.

Caladrius Blaze, a masterclass in shoot-em-up, is coming soon to GOG.com!

Formerly a console-exclusive, the quintessential corridor shoot-em-up comes to PC – where classic gameplay meets modern design, then clashes in a spectacle of flash, flesh, and destruction.

At it's core Caladrius Blaze is a SHMUP's SHMUP. But high production values and a few twists splash a fresh coat of paint and excitement on a familiar formula. Aside from standard attacks and upgrades, you'll need to master unique elemental weapons to both combo for the highest of high scores, and at times, to actually make it through the levels.

Caladrius Blaze isn't extremely long – but that's no bad thing either, because there's not a dull moment in sight. It never has to pull its punches either – and whether you're new or a veteran, there's bound to be a difficulty level to match what you've got.
Approach with care, the game does tend to get NSFW at times.

Flow like chaos and flashy destruction in Caladrius Blaze, coming soon GOG.com.

You guys will let this through but not Mushihimesama, Deathsmiles, or DoDonPachi?
Maybe if they made a version where they stripped out all the pointless character and story elements, this might be somewhat interesting.
Haven't really played these before, so I'm rather eager to check it out.

Also I'd like to think that by supporting this, GOG might be more willing to shake things up a bit, with like....Visual Novels and such. If not necessarily that big of a leap just yet, lets say something like Disgaea, as we have Agarest here already. Might not happen but one can always hope.

I know it's not just up to GOG to bring games here, just throwing ideas out there for giggles.

..still completely serious about this thing, though.
GOG, Any chance you will get Capitalism Lab over here? I feel that all Capitalism+ and 2 fans need to know about that game.

maz.588: And the first announced game of 2017 !

I wonder if we will get any release this week. Maybe they are working on some big announcement.
Or maybe they are just warming up after the holidays (meaning no release this week?) :)
I wouldn´t mind, to be honest, end of the year was more than generous, but we will see.
Sweet. Will this have local co-op? As in "connect a second controller and hand it to a friend" console-style co-op?

Short answer: Yes

Would be criminal for a shmup not to have local coop :)
Fuck I'm blind!

Holy shit, now I know what it's like to stare directly into the sun! :P
I'm not even joking when I say I didn't know what genre the game was from the trailer... I thought at first: "Not another pointless Visual novel, GOG you are better than this nonsense", then the character cards show and I'm thinking maybe it's a trading card game like MTG, which sounds better. After the trailer I checked and it said it's a SHOOTER, WHAT???

I hate when Dev's do this, Hyperdimention Neptunia also had a superfluous Trailer, Despite having half a second of gameplay footage it still tells me nothing. SELL THE STORY, THE CHARACTERS, SELL SOMETHING. Vacuum cleaner commercials are more informative than this, and all they do is tell you how much it sucks. XP

Man, tough crowd. For a long time I've seen quite a few people pushing for more Japanese SHMUPs, so it's great to finally see some progress on that front.

I wish I was. Damn, that's ugly.
This is a nice announcement. Does this mean GOG is warming up to SHMUPs and we might see some previously rejected gems like Mushihimesama? Maybe? Please?

It would appear that when GOG said Cave is "too niche" what they really meant was "not enough titties"?
Good start GOG, I will buy this.

But you aren't back in my good books until you make amends with a certain publisher of related content and get their games on here.
$24.99 ?
