Caladrius Blaze, a masterclass in shoot-em-up, is coming soon to GOG.com!

Formerly a console-exclusive, the quintessential corridor shoot-em-up comes to PC – where classic gameplay meets modern design, then clashes in a spectacle of flash, flesh, and destruction.

At it's core Caladrius Blaze is a SHMUP's SHMUP. But high production values and a few twists splash a fresh coat of paint and excitement on a familiar formula. Aside from standard attacks and upgrades, you'll need to master unique elemental weapons to both combo for the highest of high scores, and at times, to actually make it through the levels.

Caladrius Blaze isn't extremely long – but that's no bad thing either, because there's not a dull moment in sight. It never has to pull its punches either – and whether you're new or a veteran, there's bound to be a difficulty level to match what you've got.
Approach with care, the game does tend to get NSFW at times.

Flow like chaos and flashy destruction in Caladrius Blaze, coming soon GOG.com.

Hmmm, softpr0n for the start of the year. It should be a good sign of what's coming, no? :P
Nice ... If for no other reason than gog's curation team is finally opening up to more Japanese imports.
Shame Break?
Seriously?
*facepalm*

I'm sure this will appeal to someone but this is why people think gamers are all immature teenage boys...
I might have considered wishlisting this game, but the trailer doesn't show any gameplay, so I can't judge, so it doesn't go on my wishlist.

It only means that the tissue consumption has risen at gog.com...

Thanks more helpful than the "trailer" looks like the main reasons to get this would be the better graphics and well, that other reason

amrit9037: Should I say "A disappointing start of the year" or is there something big coming today?

mechmouse: I'm trying very hard not to be thinking that.

But after a missing two days of release (there was supposed to be a Wednesday release too), I think people are going to be disappointed unless the release is seriously spectacular (the obvious request of Oblivion or such like)
IMO the release of Oblivion would not be spectacular; its more like the not-release till now is so ridiculus that its kind of fun to make fun of gog & beth not getting it done.

Skyrim Legendary Remaster or FO4 on the other hand; now there we would enter spectacular territory... :)

I think you didn't completely understand the game because of the above mistake. Try reading it again after it's corrected and I'm sure you'll immediately wishlist it.

On one side, I don't care about SHMUPs. On the other hand, it's cool to see console ex-exclusives here. And it's nice to see GOG not shying away from slight NSFW titles as it brings us closer to eventual Visual Novel releases.

So not for me, but I'm glad it got released. I may get it on a sale at some point.

I still hope we get some mindblowing first release of the year though.

catpower1980: that the "trailer" is pointless

I realize GOG most likely did not produce that trailer (other than slapping their logo on the end), but there's nothing in that trailer to even imply that it's a SHMUP. In fact if it wasn't for GOG's post I would be left to assume that it was possibly an anime inspired card game adaption.
