Grargar: Hopefully, the developers will ensure update parity with Steam this time around, unlike a certain other game of theirs.
What game?

I looked at the update log on Steam and there does not seem to be any updates there either. But maybe they exist but are not listed...

Oh I was afraid you were going to say Xeno Crisis

Steam version has 2 DLC packs (one free, one paid)
GOG has nothing.

Yes true, but that game+DLC seemingly has not had any regular stability updates as with GOG's version...unlike with the other games like Xeno Crisis. I think in the end, as customers...no matter the storefront..with or w/o DLC, would like to have a game that is stable. If that means this game, 88H, will never require them...hey that's great! I wish all games were like that.

EDIT: I am sure we hope Battle Axe will have regular updates and DLC and parity for both..

The game did actually get an update to coincide with the DLC. Whether it actually fixed anything, that I do not know.

As a customer, I want insurance from the developers that I won't pay the same money for an inferior product, just because I bought it from a store not called Steam.

Yes, but again, it seems one update for base + DLC since 2017 for Steam. The DLC's came out in 2017 also. For sure, tons more games that would (and have) illustrate(d) our point(s) much better. Basically, it seems this game has been abandoned for both Storefronts.....Seems Steam users don't always get great "insurance" w/ their versions as well. Probably all the owners of 88H are unhappy on this point...DLC-envy aside...

Who knows, maybe 88H was a miss for the Devs so they ditched it...

GOG version is worse than Steam. You can argue your point about how it's not much worse, but it does not change this fact.

Now THIS is how you do pixel art.

Henk Nieborg is responsible, he's an industry veteran and one of, if not the best, pixel artists to come out of Europe.

I Googled him and his the main Artist for Shantae and the Pirate's Curse.
The game released today but not on GOG.
It seems it will be there tomorrow.
I wonder why this one day delay ?
