A song of ice and even more ice.

Banner Saga 3, is coming day 1, to GOG.com.
The epic turn-based sensation, covered in snow, heroic sacrifices and Norse mythology, is coming to an end. Continue your journey through stunningly drawn landscapes, shape the story with your decisions, and prepare to be challenged every turn of the way in highly tactical, meticulously animated battles.
Oh my, what happened with "we're not going to release Banner Saga 2 on GoG because of the piracy"? I guess day one release make sense now, they'll be able to blame poor sales on GoG and piracy once more!

One of these days I should really get round to playing the first two.

That makes two of us :/
Cool. I backed this one, so it'll be great to redeem it here on GOG.
I'm just happy the game's coming here. I absolutely loved the first two (even though the whole 'GOG users are pirates' nonsense was really shitty).
I still haven't bought 2, because I was quite offended by the devs' treatment of the DRM-free playerbase. This time they are relasing the game immediately even for people like me without implying we are pirates or similar, so I will have no problem buying it.
Maybe I'll do a marathon once it is out, 1,2 and 3 in direct sequence.
I've been waiting for the trilogy to be completed before i get my hands on them; glad to see the time has come!

I have enjoyed the first one immensely, and let me tell you: the game is brutal. Not really for its difficulty, but for the unexpected outcomes of your choices. No one is ever truly safe, think well before acting. In any case, the moral of the story is: regardless of how well you play your cards, life will always backstab you as soon as you feel comfortable.
I hope there won't be any issues with importing saves from Steam version of the Banner Saga 2.

I really enjoyed both of the games, but would much, much rather get the third on GOG. Just... please look into importing before releasing it, GOG.

Has that ever been possible with any game? Does not seem to me to be something worth hoping for - cross platform save imports.
high rated
What happened to the "GOG and piracy" thing.

I assume people like me who pestered them on the Steam forums, and then seeing additional sales here after they finally released BS2, not to mention that it gets pirated on Steam anyway even if they waste money and piss off customers with Denuvo...

GOG is the way to go, don't screw your customers, and they *WANT* to pay you.

Be a Bandai Namco (lying about Denuvo in Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet) and people grow to hate you, start rooting for CPY, all while they boycott the $#!+ out of you for being an @$&hole to the people dumb enough to pay $50+ for a game that won't bloody we'll work.

To be honest, can't recall off the top of my head.

Though it should not be difficult to implement. The save files can only be in one location on a Windows computer. Presumably the import format is identical regardless on which platform BS3 gets purchased (GOG or Steam)...

I do recall seeing posts of people successfully moving saves between Android and Windows machines, so I do hope there won't be any issues with something so much simpler as locating a final save.
Meh, couldn't care less after the whole 'gogers are pirates debacle', fuck 'em.
Wait.. so Banner Saga 1-2 have been finally updated? :O
