Reaper9988: Well there is reviews usually to be found which mention what you mean. Might have to look for the original Japanese name though.
I'm all for "adult" only discussions but I don't think GoG will do that. That's a can of soccer moms they probably really don't want to open.
(Same reason why they can't mention said info on the store page)
There are sometimes reviews on the GoG store pages which sometimes mention the nature of the content. I'm not invested quite enough to spend a great amount of time trying to find the original name and searching to find reviews on some other site. At that point you might as well skip the whole game aspect and go straight to searching for such material directly.
I'm not sure why that line of discussion would be forbidden by GoG. There are reviews up on some of the GoG store pages which discussing the content of the games. You just can't consistently find that for all the games.
They're e-mailing promos for these types of games in their regular sale announcements, and posting the same on their front page, without even having a "don't show me adult-only sexual content" checkbox for users to select. If soccer moms were a concern, you'd think they'd do that at least.
There's also the "
Games which would make good porn titles" thread which has existed since 2015. If that one is okay, I think a thread to discuss the nature of the content of specific games would be welcomed. It could possibly increase the sales of some of those games.
Memecchi: I agree with having content-specific tags, but everyone *tangentially* interested in the series knows what Rance is about (or at least Sengoku, since that's the most mainstream title)
And again, the porn is not supposed to be taken seriously, it's something akin to black comedy. You can find it unpleasant and gross of course, not everyone is into the more crude stuff, but that's on you
One would think that bringing those games to GoG is intended to reach a new customer base, including those users who were not even tangentially invested in the series before. Saying "if you already know about this game you know about the content" isn't helpful to those who actually don't know about the game.
