GOG.com: Soon on GOG!
It launched on Steam on August 9th. We really shouldn't have to scour the web to find out if there's a planned release date for GOG. You posted that the release is planned for September on Twitter the same day as this announcement thread. There was no reason to omit that information on the forum. You didn't even bother to come back to the thread and edit it, after several users pointed it out.

There was a notification on the store page regarding the delayed release, seems like they removed it.
It reminds me of Haven somehow... as you fight some huge interconnected open world, perhaps with some partner, and who knows what you may meet. Although there are RPG elements, the feeling is more toward an adventure.

Steam got it 3 days ago, so far a rather mixed review but not unexpected at all.

So, GoG release still not very certain? Guess next month...
Not that i care because some bugs may be worked out, and it is still "fresh".

On PS5 it will be out next week, most likely.

The EULA is up on Steam, and wow that's one hell of a user-generated-content grab:

CGUs may be a creation of your imagination (an "Original CGU") or a creation made from pre-existing creations (a "Derivative CGU"), ...

you hereby grant Focus Entertainment and Focus Entertainment Licensors ... whether Original CGUs or Derivative CGUs ... add elements ... sell and market the CGUs, without any restriction
That applies to pseudonyms, sounds, recordings, texts, etc used and shared via their game. Sounds as if using your usual pseudonym grants them the right to put your name against a quote with any "added elements" that they fancy, all the way up to them selling action figures of you with your name on.

NuffCatnip: Nice, doesn't seem to be yet another dogshit souls-like, looks like it's a proper character action game. :)
be warned, though, i heard the game also described as pretty similar in take to forspoken. forspoken knows a whole lot of the infamous bullet sponge..... typed variant
I had no issues with Forspoken, but indeed, there is some similarities with this game.
I love Deck 13's previous work. Will be glad to check this out.
I don't see how that EULA would affect me personally. Maybe streamers and YouTubers have more reason to raise an eyebrow. If you're using the game to make money, can you really complain if the publisher quotes you as "I thought it was good!" or whatever?

I disliked Forspoken (watched the whole thing on YouTube). I checked out the first 90 minutes of Atlas Fallen and it didn't raise any alarm bells for me. You have a talking gauntlet and you traipse about the desert, but that's kind of it for the similarities early on.

The bit I quoted affects anyone whose pseudonym touches the online multiplayer server. There's a whole other section of Content Creator rules for streamers, which is additional to the bit that I quoted.

It's not just "can quote you saying it was good", it's "add elements" and "you agree never to claim any moral rights", so they can put your name to "it's good", even if you said it was crap. Or at least, that's some of what their EULA is trying to grab.

I don't think that would work in their favor. I expect "add elements" to mean something sensible, like a logo. Maybe they should've looked for a way to make it opt-in, but I'm not worried.

wonder if this drm-free beast will have achievements ...
Any news on this?

Would be nice wouldn't it? This is the game I'm waiting on more than anything else confirmed for the store. GOG's vague, interminable 'coming soon' strikes again.
