Yet another amazing title from Focus Entertainment is coming soon on GOG – get ready for Atlas Fallen!

Atlas Fallen is an action adventure RPG, where you’ll get on a quest to rise from the dust and liberate mankind from the oppression of corrupted gods. Facing the ancient dangers and mysteries, you’ll glide the sands of a timeless land and hunt legendary monsters, using powerful, shape-shifting weapons and devastating sand-powered abilities. With all that, you’ll be able to shape your own, custom playstyle, and forge a new era for humanity.

Soon on GOG!

Reglisse: Because I'm tired of publishers that always give the short end of the stick to GOG users...I buy full price day one (global) or wait for a 50% off discount.
Sure, I get that.

But you punish GOG with that, too...and they have no say in that (I guess).

Your post suggests, that you are keen to buy the game at its release in May.

So - IF it would be released here on GOG in May, you would be willing to pay full price for it, right?

Now, we know the game will not be released here before September...assuming the game will be available by September for 25% off on both stores, Steam AND GOG, then why not buy it at 25% off here on GOG?

The game will be the same, the price will be the same...

Edit: to clarify - I get that one doesn't want to pay more here than the game costs on Steam at the time of the GOG release...but I don't get the extra discount necessary for a GOG purchase.

dayum.
Definetely interested, but I will wait for reviews.

Reglisse: Yes...they are doing great to be upfront about the date ^^
I'm waiting for some announced games (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War ) for sooo looong...
Problem,I don't like to feel like a thief because I prefer DRM free...and that the feeling I get from those delays.

mqstout: Feel confident in knowing the Scam-Scheme users were feeble beta testers? :)
Ah...nice way to say things :)
And make me feel better...thanks!

@BreOl72 GOG is not able to get the Day One deal...GOG problem...not mine.
Give me parity with other Stores or give me better prices for those (not so) old games...that is all!

And to tell the truth...the only game I'm waiting for is "Age of Wonders 4" Pre-order is up on Steam.
Maybe here later...
Atlas Fallen...I can wait or never play It...all the same xD
Just happy to see a new game that look like ..."a new game"...and not some pixelated indies from itch.io...

So, not only punish, but also punish despite not even being really interested on getting the game.
Ok, got it.
Definitely wishlishting.

Why I should be more nice toward GOG than Steam?
I'm a Linux user...I can use and play everything with the Steam App.
Where is Galaxy for Linux?
Where are the missing Linux builds for a bunch of Games here?
Sorry...I'm not going to pity GOG.
The only thing I loved here was the DRM free way of life...this DRM Free thing is dead since more or less mandatory Galaxy ...
I always buy games here firstly day one...if not day one...I'm not going to cry and wait 10 years.
And as I'm very nice...sometimes I buy games on GOG after I bought them on Steam long ago...just to get a DRM free version.

As for THIS game,I was interested...I was waiting for an announce on GOG before to buy.
Someone tell me the game was going to be released on GOG too...so I didn't pre-order on Steam.
Now,I know the release date...I'm going to buy on Steam and eventually on GOG later...Sorry...
Have fun with the bunch of Pixel Games and Hentai RPG released here on a daily basis ^^

Reglisse: snip
Like I said: I get it.
Even if the game would have been a "day 1" release here on GOG, you would not have bought it for full price.
You simply acted, as if the fact that it is not a "day 1" release, had anything to do with your decision to wait for a 50% discount.
But it isn't really so. You would have waited for a (minimum) 50% discount anyway.
Should have simply said so in your first post.

shrug
Sweet.

Evil West when?

Serious...what you don't understand...If the release day was the same as Steam...I would buy the game full price here.
I'm not going to wait to play a game I'm interested to play...and I'm sure you are going to pay full price on GOG release day.
Same as the Ninja Wars Neptunia game...released later...no discount...
I'm not a GOG Fanatic and I don't hate Steam...I buy where It's more convenient for me.
GOG or Steam!

Atlas Fallen Preview - Everything We Know So Far!

Teaser trailer didn't tell me anything I wanted to know, so currently watching the above.
I didn't know this game. It seems really promising. I will follow it's launch here with interest and should buy when available.
Enjoyed Lords of the Fallen and The Surgeses, so I'll be looking forward to this, too. :) I don't mind the wait. It's not like my backlog is shrinking anytime soon. ;)

Still hoping for a GOG release of Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Evil West, and Atomic Heart... and some more of Focus's back catalog.

Reglisse: [..] The only thing I loved here was the DRM free way of life...this DRM Free thing is dead since more or less mandatory Galaxy ... [..]
I've read comments like this several times before and have always been wondering: How is Galaxy mandatory? I'm playing on a machine that's not even connected to the internet and use Galaxy only to download the offline installers. Never had any issues. Sure, I guess it's necessary for multiplayer in certain games and .. I don't know.. achievement tracking? But that aside, what else do you need it for? Btw that's an honest question.. not trying to mock you in any way.
Never heard of this, but if it's from the developer of The Surge, I'm definitely interested.
Deck13 / Focus Entertainment? Nice.

NuffCatnip: DRM-free version of Atlas Fallen will be available in September 2023

... at least they're upfront about it and don't let us guess. ...
Yes.

Too bad, but at least they're upfront about it and don't let us guess. Wishlisted for now. :)

my name is catte: Yeah, this is much better than the Return to Monkey Island situation where they wouldn't even tell us if it was coming.
Yes.
