One flew over Cthulhu's nest.

Asylum is coming soon DRM-free.

Within the Hanwell Mental Institute, walls continue upright, bricks meet neatly, floors are firm, and doors are sensibly shut.
But that's the only sensible thing to be found in this place of unrest, where memories of unspeakable horrors await the first-person adventurer who's come looking for the spiritual successor to Scratches and an homage to spookfests of old.

I've been waiting years for this one and now I don't have a strong enough PC to play it. That's sad and unfortunate.

First person adventure. You explore a mansion in the woods basically, but it's not a "walking sim" game, it's leaning more towards traditional adventure games, which means that it contains puzzles, you collect notes (if I recall correctly) etc. That is the gist of it, it's been over ten years since I played it. It also has a creepy atmosphere, it really sucks you in and makes you feel uneasy. Very good game.

Oh yeah, it's a definitely a full adventure game - inventory puzzles and the lot.

Actually, you don't need a strong PC to play it! Backers have been testing the game and reported good performance even on modest notebooks. And we still have optimizations left to do :)

That is EXACTLY what my high school cafeteria looked like!

Of course, that was 25 years ago. Probably doesn't look that nice now.

Agustin, I wish you the best when Asylum gets released, I am sure it will be amazing. Out of curiosity, are you planning on a physical retail edition? I like collecting those :) (which reminds me, I need you to sign my physical Scratches edition box, it is definitely one of the best first-person adventures I've ever played)

Thanks for the heads up, all! I'm orange now :D

And yes, we are definitely planning a physical edition. We're torn between an Infocom-like grey box or fake VHS. We'll ask fans what they prefer.

PS: Well, I *should* be orange. Eventually.
