Apsulov: End of Gods is coming soon DRM-free.

Humans delved far beneath the earth to find the mercy of the gods. What they found was never meant to reach the surface. Not on Midgard, nor any of the nine realms of Yggdrasil. Now their discovery wreaks havoc on their world, exploiting their technology, and leaving all in misery and decay. Through all their conquests and revelations they never stopped to consider that some things are buried for a reason.

In a world of technology and mythological artifacts, chaos rules over the human realm. It is in this chaos that you find your purpose and destiny.
When I see a game with such an uninventing title (Apsulov is Voluspa backwards) I skip it immediately.
Weird as fuck, count me in.
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Too Human also a game in set in sci-fi version of Nordic mythology? I do hope this one fares much better...

And Voluspa is Apsulov backwards. :P

Colour me intrigued, but not much else for now. :3
game looks great, wishlisted
Wishlisted as well! I love gog's every-day-is-a-new-game feature!

Now that you mention it, GOG is merely GOG backwards. Hmm....

What is "Voluspa", anyway?
high rated

Voluspa or actually Völuspá is a well known (I mean, well known among those that care about this stuff, at least...) poem in the Codex Regius, a medieval manuscript and collection of poems from Iceland (late 1200's ) and one of the most important sources of Norse mythology.

GOG on the other hand, which is related to Gogam, which is merely Magog backwards, is a biblical...no wait, forget about that one...

Ah, very interesting, thank you.

I'm only familiar with Norse mythology at what amounts to a casual (American) high school level (not that it was actually covered in my high school classes), so that's educational.

:) Very good.
This looks messed up. Gives me something of a Bioshock vibe, so definitely not for me as a game, but the idea and what they did with it may be interesting. May also just be messed up for the sake of being messed up though.

Well it IS Viking-themed. Most games have shitty titles.
I liked 4 Days in a Wasteland, though. And Ion Maiden.
*sigh*
okay let's list some more good / great titles

Seasons after Fall
No Pineapple Left Behind
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine
Metal Wolf Chaos
The World Next Door
Cosmic Star Heroine
Kindred Spirits on the Roof (I was told it's a pun in Japanese)
Unforeseen Incidents
Ghost of a Tale
The Signal From Tölva
The Darkside Detective
Sir, You Are Being Hunted
Unepic
Driftmoon
Primordia
King of Dragon Pass
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Archimedean Dynasty
Doors that go like this
We Happy Few
Not Tonight

and that's probably it as GOG games go. Games are really, really, really
really
bad at titles.
(it comes down to marketing)

(I excluded two adaptations of internationally famous literary works.)

And yet, people still treat Alucard like it's clever and inventive.

You mean Thor from the Avengers? XP
