On another note does anyone know if the nudity in these games is realistic or is it also like the woman would be covered in situations where in real life she'd be naked?

Now, this I might keep, as opposed to the previous version. I hope they also did some extra work for the video player (allowing to skip scenes, for example), and perhaps added the option to use original vs upscaled video (honestly the upscaled videos have their own set of problems, at least in the previous release of American Hero).

Nice. I had asked GOG about this months ago, after I discovered that the version already here isn't unrated.

There is frontal nudity, but nothing below the waist, and yes, sometimes the actors will be wearing briefs or panties to avoid full nudity, even when it might be a little awkward. It's still fairly explicit.

Edit: To better explain, given the nature of some of the scenes (which are sex scenes), it would turn into a porn game, if they didn't wear underwear, as silly as it might become as a result. XD

Maybe better direction could have kept the actors nude and used camera tricks to hide what isn't meant to be shown, but it is what it is.

no mention of quality of life improvements like scene skip either. so they unearthed an fmv title, very cool, fixed it up a bit, even better, and now they're trying to sell it again. they could've released this 'unrated' edition in the first place or just offer it as an update to the original, which it is, but decided to take the scummy route. I have slightly higher tolerance for fmv titles but glad I didn't buy this when it came out (or since).

We'll see how it gets sold, so far there is neither a indicator for the price or if an upgrade will be available.

It's not that I care for things to be explicit. It's always been a peeve of mine when they include things like sex in movies but then right after she would cover herself with a sheet. It's always been unrealistic to me where he's already seen her naked so in real life she wouldn't try to awkwardly keep herself covered. Same for scenes using strange rather than natural camera angles. If directors don't want to include the nudity that come with these situations they shouldn't be including them in the first place as they're probably not necessary for the plot.

I can understand that. The nude scenes are mostly unnecessary for the plot (some are rather gratuitous, I would say). A few make sense in context (like getting seduced by a stripper, she isn't completely naked, but it works just fine), but if I remember correctly from taking a look at the original video files, some of the scenes were kind of silly, both in how they are shot and how they start.

Then again, the game is fairly silly overall, so maybe that's just on brand. XD

Usually it's not about the directors, but about the contract of the actors and about the rating the movie is targeted for.

I understand that. My point is if you don't want to include it then don't. It's obviously for sensation so usually not necessary but just don't make it unrealistic. Contracts are negotiable btw and dependant on who you choose.
They can give a discount for the price difference.

If you want more realism, you need to watch more french or german TV movies. These treat nudity differently. than how it's done in the US.
