Yes, a remake of the original PSP game.
Great news! Can't wait for it.
What a coincidence, I just watched the anime first episode very recently! The show is obviously doesn't take itself seriously so it was fun to watch them fighting vampires and stripping off their clothes because it's the vampire's weakness.

I just love anime, when stories can go bonker but still entertaining.

You might enjoy an old anime (and more complete manga) that goes by the name of Ranma 1/2. The protagonist fell into a cursed hot spring, of "Drowned Young Girl", and now transforms into a lady whenever exposed to cold water. He also has several marriage arrangements that were procured by his "Drowned Panda" father, and life is just plain hectic.

For me personally, I enjoy Irresponsible Captain Tylor. He is either the luckiest man alive or the most laid back genius to be born. Either way, his hijinks drive the course of an intergalactic space war.
You know, this reminds me of something. An obscure little indie title I remember seeing on Abandonia Reloaded.
A shame this didn't come out when the PSP was still around, but it's always nice to see another previously untranslated PSP titile see the light of day. Wish Acquire had cared enough to update the character models a little more for HD resolutions but I guess you can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Also just want to point out to everyone - Hellbound & Debriefed = HD :D

Glad to see XSEED staying playful with their subtitiles when they release these older games into English.
YES, another JRPG, I love this series! Can't wait; insta-bought, thanks GoG, please keep 'em coming!
I just played Undead & Undressed. From the screenshots and trailer it looks like they are essentially the same game only with a different art style and slight changes to the story? I'll still give it a try, it was well done overall (though unfortunately rather male gazey, as are many games). I like the real city thing; you can look around on Google street view and it looks quite similar to the game.

I'm guessing Akiba's Trip was inspired by Persona? It looks like Persona 4 came out in 2008, this one in 2011, Undead & Undressed in 2013, and Tokyo Xanadu in 2015. While Tokyo Xanadu seems mostly Persona inspired (I've just watched the first few hours of Persona 4 on youtube... you know it's going to be a nicely story focused game when it takes a few hours before you get to do much of anything), there were a few times in Undead & Undressed when I thought "that's where they got ... in Tokyo Xanadu" (also three of the Japanese voice actors are in both games). One of the ads that shows up on some of the screens in Undead & Undressed is for Trails to Azure, the fan translation of which was just released a couple of days ago.

GOG, please please please try to convince Sega and Atlus to bring Persona 4 here, maybe they would do it a year after the Steam release (wishlist).

GOG.com: Key Features
Playful Reimagining of Japan’s Electronics Mecca
Take a virtual tour of 2011’s Akihabara district recreated in painstaking detail, complete with accurate street layouts and shops based on real businesses operating at the time.
.
That was what made me get the first title offered here.* It sounded like an actual fine example to abuse that game as a walking sim. With Japan not really being something to visit on a regular basis (for me at least).

Needless to say I was... well not really terribly disappointed. But thats because I don't take any marketing texts for face value anymore. But if I had to point out big fat lies in marketing bullet-points that would most definitely one I would point my finger on without hesitation. I probably would have gained more out of a google maps tour.

*edit: That and to be honest the anime which was a bit of a guilty pleasure. But none I really cared about playing out in a game.

I can only wish for this. GOG would have to move worlds to get traditional Japanese companies to agree to the DRM-free business model.

What do you consider a lie? The particular park they show is nicer in the game, the battle arena is I think actually a school, and MOGRA looks like a dance studio but otherwise it all seemed quite accurate vs. Google street view with many of the businesses named in the game still in the place shown. There are real business flyers handed out in the game. What you are saying you wanted is something I enjoyed about the game and I am curious why you were disappointed.

P.S. You might like the web game GeoGuessr that dumps you in a random Google street view and you try to guess where you are. The free version is a bit more limited than when I last played and give you a fixed view for the first couple of places but it then let me move around in street view for the other 3.

I played a little bit of one, and i can honestly say i'd be more interested in a game than an anime. At least i get to pull their pants down.

Maybe I need to dig in deeper but my first few minutes (at which I already was pretty pissed because of the intro sequence dragging it out (I know, its an important part of the game; but keep in mind; I did not went in for the game part of the game ;) )) I was greeted with an street full of .jpg facades; the one I "entered" was just another .jpg popping up together with an buy/sell button.

In context of the whole game I do think it probably serves it well and does its job. I would not even mention it if it where not for this "painstaking detail, complete with accurate street layouts and shops based on real businesses operating at the time" being their first mentioned key feature. Its not like I expect to enter a shop and be able to buy and read 500 different manga; but I did expect the shops to be actual enter-able environments recreated in "painstaking detail".

And even though it was just a first impression I do not think that will improve much more. At one point I might play it for the game itself and I will likely like it very much for what it actually is; but abused as a 3d recreated tourism walking sim it falls short (again; I know, because it ain't one ;) ).

Someone in another thread said something along the lines that the anime is more of a weak tie in to the game; so you might be on to something ;)

As said; at some point I might actually play it.
