Classics lovers rejoice – a new batch of awesome timeless titles from SNEG are coming soon to GOG: Veil of Darkness, Star General, The Summoning, Dark Legions. Here’s what you can expect:

Veil of Darkness
1993’s horror-action-adventure game with isometric point of view. Prepare for an intriguing horror atmosphere, well-designed puzzles and faction action as you move around in dark valley and fight monsters like werewolves, vampires and skeletons. Regarded as one of the spiritual ancestors of popular action RPGs like Diablo, Veil of Darkness is an excellent icon of the gaming past.

Star General
A turn-based strategy where you take control of The Fleet (humans), the Khalians, or five other races as you battle for control of the local cluster with your fleet and conquer enemy planets with your group troops. Build research centers to obtain better ships, use your racial special unit to gain advantage on the ground or in space.

The Summoning
A single-character fantasy role-playing adventure, set inside a huge labyrinth with 40 different levels and hordes of mean monsters. Use steel, magic and wit to fight, cast and puzzle your way through the evil that lies within. Struggle to survive and grow strong enough to fight and defeat Shadow Weaver, the villain responsible for the evil spreading across the land.

Dark Legions
An action strategy game in which you will pitch your forces against that of an enemy in a game board. When two pieces collide, they will be transferred to another board on which they will fight for survival. In the beginning of the game you will buy your forces with a predefined number of credits, and be able to purchase any of the 16 characters along with various kinds of traps and even rings to upgrade your creatures.

There’s a certain magic only to be found in classics and you will for sure find it in these SNEG titles – wishlist them now so you won’t miss their release or any special offer.

Dohi64: wow, dark legions. weird it's only making an appearance now, unlike other ssi stuff that's been around forever. might buy once gog fixes the wishlist. so probably never.
Second time I see claim that wishlist is broken, but I have no idea how? #worksforme Unless you mean the "discounted titles" filter (but that doesn't break wishlist as a whole)
One step closer to get the whole 5 star general series here. Star General's developer is different from the other games in the series - rather unlikely this increases the chances of them getting published here soon.
Wonderful news!
I'm so excited for Veil of Darkness. Although I own this game, I've been playing it for years without the sound working under DOSbox, so I'm hoping that SNEG has sorted that out.
Very nice, good that more classics are coming here.
And now I'm also a bit confused, because I really thought that Veil of Darkness was already available on GOG. Maybe I got it mixed up with Shadow of the Comet, they look pretty similar.
More SSI is always welcome, will buy them all. SNEG is spoiling us.
Now I'm hoping they'll also bring Phophecy of the Shadow, Cyber Empires and Legends of Valour.

Dark Legions was awesome back in the old days!
Saw someone stream The Summoning. Looking forward to it.
Dark Legions is a happy surprise. Many fond memories of that game.
Thank you, SNEG&GOG!
Veil of Darkness & The Summoning will be insta-buy for me too :)
Didn't Dark Legions come with some cards? I'd check my boxed copy but it's in storage. Was Dark Legions easier to get than Archon Ultra? Dark Legions is a lot like it.

Depends on the price, but I will probably get Veil of Darkness, The Summoning and Star General right away.
Nice!. Liking the look of (the first) three of these games. I was still welded to my Amiga when these were originally released.

Yes, my boxed copy of Dark Legions came with cards of the various creatures (with stats on the back, IIRC). Both it and Archon Ultra came out in 1994, and I bought both at the time. Dark Legions was the superior game, and IMO a much better spiritual successor to the classic Archon than Archon Ultra was.
Solid :D

is the veil of darkness good?

also which generals are missing? Panzer General 1 and Panzer General 3?
