There’s a certain magic that can only be found in classic titles. We know that very well and we are also fully aware that so do you. That’s why we are that much more excited to announce that…

4 awesome classics from SNEG are coming soon to GOG: Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace, DeathKeep, DragonStrike and Fantasy Empires!

Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace is an adventure RPG with strategy elements that provides swashbuckling excitement and the magic of D&D adventures, but in wildspace! In this gem you’ll captain your own Spelljammer ship, recruit officers and crew to man your magical ship, and soar into the ether and explore the planets of Realmspace.

DeathKeep is a D&D dungeon delving the way you like it - fast, furious and fun! An evil Necromancer has escaped from his icy prison and is wreaking havoc upon the surrounding lands. Journey to this frozen wasteland and destroy the forces of evil - if you dare.

DragonStrike is the first-ever dragon combat simulator! In this title the deadly skies above the Dragonlance game world of Krynn explode before your very eyes. The first-person viewpoint propels you into a fully animated, 3D world of action and excitement. So to the skies brave knight - and victory!

Fantasy Empires is a D&D adventure and the first title to feature a computer Dungeon Master who mediates all elements of the game play. Create alliances, defeat enemy kingdoms and forge an empire in this exciting world. Under the computer Dungeon Master, you’ll interact with fantastic races, command dozens of troop types, send your heroes on quests and construct a variety of buildings and fortifications.

We couldn’t be more excited! Make sure to wishlist those masterpieces so you won’t miss their release dates or any special offers. Let’s relive the nostalgia.

00063: And all my initial interest for DragonStrike is now gone.

Catventurer: You can have your dragon shoot out fireballs at things, but I remember this being limited such that you do end up spending most of your time dragon jousting.
I think i'm just gonna stick to Divinity: Dragon Commander for now.

GOG.com: Coming soon: 4 awesome classics from SNEG!
Cool.
I remember reading that the original release of Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace had several bugs when it came out.

Have these games been patched by SNEG in any way or are they just being re-released?
Good to see these appear on GOG. Dragon Strike was ahead of it's time when it was originally released, would be great for a remake too. Pretty shocked to actually see some old games appear on GOG.

What? There are a lot of old games here. Always glad to see more, though. There are around 1,500 more games I'd like to be DRM-free. :)
Spelljammer is finally coming to GoG! It has the most unique setting and most unique types of gameplay, even today it doesn’t have an equivalent coming to mind easily. One other game in D&D that features is Birthright and that one I hunted down and found, been playing since, it is a delight if you look past aged graphics and some heavy complexity.

Fantasy Empires was another one I was looking to play, as I heard only good things about.

All of these games, maybe apart from DeathKeep are bold ventures and unique combinations of game genres with the addition of worlds from the awesome age of D&D, which is long past nowadays. They are more than worth remembering and living through this age of casual garbage, overhype, perverted ideology imposing, unnecessary cosmetics and microtransaction hell.

It will be good to have more “real” games from a more civilized age, when they did like games more than they liked political statements and influencer opinions.
I am sooo happy to see this anouncement. Thank you GOG! Keep 'em coming and I won't be able to give you my money fast enough.
I read 4 awesome classics from SNES! :D
Nice to see them here!
Looking forward to it, but any chance of Birthright TSR ever making it to GOG?

The problem with Birthright is that it was originally a Sierra game. So a re-release would have to be negotiated with Activision, probably. You can guess all the issues related with such a scenario.

Considering that every old activision game is present here it should not be a problem

The game is a dungeons and dragons stuff that in the past the title was produced by activision. double complexity regarding rights.
Something like no one lives forever

Now that you mention it, I went to investigate and the game was made by Synergistic Software. The same guys who made Diablo: Hellfire - which is already available on GOG.
So I suspect it wouldn't be too much legal trouble to get the game on GOG. The main problem would come from convincing Activision to release the game here. And we all know how much these "titan publishers" love GOG and DRM-free gaming. :(
I hope this time we get the manuals too.
Awesome!! Great to see more Good Old Classic Games releasing here! Looking forward to them! Thanks SNEG and GOG!
