mdqp: I got a reply from Ken Williams himself on the Steam forums (they seem to be willing to reply to anyone, whenever possible). He wants to publish the game here, but he isn't comfortable with a no DRM release on day 1.
"To be on GOG we need to be 100% DRM free. GOG wants us, and I want them, but I'm nervous about going 100% DRM free from the beginning. I proposed to them that we simply verify (from the code) that we were launched from their launcher one time -- and they still said "no"."
I respect Ken Williams for everything he did for gaming industry, and especially adventure games, but seriously, Ken, what the f**k !?!?!?
So basically he wanted not only force all GOG users to use Galaxy, but add DRM layers to Galaxy which currently don't exist in it!
Don't make me lose respect here, Ken.
