It is pretty funny to see Vainamoinen lacking any self awarness. He provides more toxicity to this place then an average GG supporter.

As to the "most insulting"... actually, to define a fictional group with the sole characteristic of being against one's own group may be more insulting than just "SJW".

No, really, "agg" is probably more insulting than "SJW". Of course, these terms are still both way up in the dictionary of asshole terminology.

/edit: Breja has of course opposed a supposed social justice crew with a "social injustice gang", which means that he or she definitely used the term out of its usual context. Which is, after all, welcome. To me, one of those sides definitely looks more attractive. I well know that wasn't Breja's immediate intent, and I'm well aware that ideological content isn't Breja's immediate concern with this thread's direction.

I know, arguing with gamergate supporters always brings more unrest than just keeping the silence would. I could, like, shut up and let them live in a world in which transgender people supposedly kill themselves because that'll reeeeeally show their parents.

That depends on how one interprets your statement.
And the other depends on what you consider GG and aGG principles.
And I still don't realize how some community can be producing ONLY racist xenophobic buzzword buzzword hate and nothing else. Surely there is a scientific answer as to what the collective opinion of 50,000+ people is propagating, right? Claiming so makes no sense but anyhoo; point being calling someone excusing racism or whatever is still the same as defining someone opposed to your opinions.

That would be a factually incorrect assumption. Whats the problem with using normal figures of speech? I mean if there is a proGG there will be an antiGG and calling it something else really doesn't make any difference. And what other respectful term can be used for aGG? Pedo-supporting sex negativists? SJ authoritarians opposed to gamergate ideas? Anti-ethical censor group? aGG is THE only term that describes what aGG is and does it most respectfully out of all alternatives. This isn't a reflection on any side as much as it is on how such things are termed in society.

And back to the original point about how these suicide statistics "might" be causing more transgenders to commit suicides, here's the very end of Leelah Alcorn's suicide note. (After she has already gone on about all the things she perceived her parents did to her)

"My death needs to mean something. My death needs to be counted in the number of transgender people who commit suicide this year. I want someone to look at that number and say “that’s f***ed up” and fix it. Fix society. Please."

But hey Vain, you are just so smart aren't you...you call it disgusting, I call it the truth. Wonder how Vain is going to twist this one around...

She expresses the hope that society could take something away from it – obviously a rather naive stance that would not have survived a solid conversation with peers had it been granted to Leelah, or actual hard suicide facts as possibly delivered by quality media. This concluding statement is in line particularly with her rhetoric to parents: with the clear cut structure of a desperate request.

Again, angrily pointing the finger at guilty parties/killing oneself to exact revenge on them VERSUS expressing the hope that people learn from your death, those are two rather different things. That society has fixing to be done in that respect, that I will definitely not question.

Going back to the start of the argument, re. establishing a causal link between general 'talk about suicide' and Leelah Acorn's death in particular... you just haven't done that.

But I do appreciate that you use the correct name and pronoun.

Leelah specifically mentioned the suicide statistic in her suicide note. If that is somehow not proof that at least one transgender individual knew of the statistic and was hoping her death adding to the statistic might help, then you have a very twisted definition of proof.

Furthermore, it isn't very far-fetched to believe that some kill themselves, in part, out of spite for others. I'm sure there are plenty of suicide notes saying exactly that. The fact you seem to think its appropriate to tell others how "wrong they are" when all they are doing is stating an opinion (not to mention an opinion backed by good sense) says much about you and your own lack of polite discourse.

Basically :

Trans people commit suicide, it's their fault, not society, they should see a psy and we shouldn't be informed of it because it is not a collective issue. It's an individual problem in an individual society where there is no collective causality or responsability at stake anywhere and shut up with minorities. What's the fuss.

Trans people don't commit suicide, SEE : NO PROBLEM AT ALL HERE, just a couple of trans whining about not being recognized as a plant or toaster but heck no real issue just some occasional bad mood. What's the fuss.

So, no problem. None I can see as a cis white christian male in a cis white christian male world and the rest can go to hell. Victims just don't get blamed enough.
