A good excuse to play it again this winter.
Thanks for the release!
Thank you for the free copy Chronicles of Myrtana Team and GOG Team. I actually still needed to play Gothic 2. Wonder if I should play the original first, then this or just play this.

it's not a remake or remaster, no reason to skip the actual game.

That's good to know. When I claimed it, there seemed to be a Gothic II DLC added, though there's nothing in the game library that I can see.
.
Wonder why they made it seperate in the game library if Gothic 2 was required to play it. That's a strange move or maybe I'm just missing something.

I'm not even sure if it's indeed required to play. It installed and started without asking like a standalone. I do have GII installed however, but it never asked for the path or anything.
Thank you Chronicles of Myrtana Team . Thank you GOG .

viperfdl: What, no German? No German, no buy!
Oh, wait... it's free...

Sexier than this college game :D
Thank you!

I'm sure the developers would have liked to include and support ALL the localised versions, but working on an entirely non-commercial project you don't want to bite off more than you can chew.
Polish being the only fully supported localisation shouldn't really come as a surprise anyway with the team behind Archolos being made up exclusively by Poles, as far as I can tell.
Gothic is good, more Gothic is better.
Thanks, GOG and The Chronicles Of Myrtana Team.

Seems like GOG's version of mod is standalone, hence the requirement of owning original G2.

Nothing happened, it never was. All text, voice acting and English translation is made from scratch by modders team. There is possibly Russian translation by Russian Gothic scene in work already.

Thanks for the freebie GoG (and offering it here), it will complement my already owned copy of Gothic 2, when I eventually get round to playing it...
I beat Gothic 2 gold with being a Paladin, Mage, but never have i tried a two hand build other things i tried.
The only thing i need to play was Mercenary path and in German language due to previously only playing the english version.
But this mod seems interesting though i usually don't like to use content mods for some reason and rather move to another game when i beat it, since you know backlog.
And i like to play how the developers originally intended the game.
But anyway thanks for this maybe i will look into it one day.
Time to dust off the 'ole G2 again, can't wait to see what they have done for this game!

Although I suspect that they tampered with the balance to make it with even more crippling difficulty... (One-shots, one-shots everywhere!) :P still, it's a labor of love that is 100% free so hat's off to them for actually finishing it as too many total conversions never make it!
