yyahoo: Cinemaware responds!!!

They are claiming that it is a mistake by the publisher handling their products.

That's funny because Cinemaware is listed as publisher on Steam. :D
And they'll "fix" it... don't want to drop money on this now... but when things like this are "fixed" it's rarely to the consumer's benefit...

And they're listed as the publisher on GOG for Wings Remastered, but they've stated in the past that they are using another company to publish Wings RM. Their explanation as to why they're listed as the publisher on GOG wasn't exactly clear, but just saying that this isn't a new thing. They've been saying that another publisher is handling distribution for a while now...

The other publisher is probably Kalypso:

Yup

I'll wait to pass judgement on the fix. Hopefully it is a good thing, but if not, well, hopefully we can figure out who is responsible - Cin, GOG, Kalypso. :P

MrBoat: I don't care about being sold separately, what I see on steam is an understimation of them all by mixing them without any sense. Sports, Strategy, Simulation...
Who cares, there are nothing more than old games, pack and sell them all.

Hope we can see some of them here on GOG, joined or separed.
Steam is all about quantity over quality ;)

Are you saying these games are bad?

Well... I have to say I considered most Cinemaware games overrated already in the 80s. They were flashy (for the time), but gameplay was usually a bit lacking. Coincidentally, probably the worst-looking Cinemaware game (Amiga version of Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon) was IMHO one of their very best. Rocket Ranger was another.

The Amiga games I loved:
Starglider 2
Elite
Another World (actually I played this first on PC...)
Carrier Command
Dungeon Master
Faery Tale Adventure
Test Drive 1-2
F/A-18 Interceptor (albeit it was a bit too short, not enough missions...)
Falcon
etc.

I suggest you take a look at the game's page again, specifically at the publisher section.

Nor did your question/assumption. Or whatever you were trying to infer. I made no comment on the quality of all the games mentioned. Some are good, some average, some pretty bad. Cinemaware didn't shit gold, but they made some good games.

Steam is still about quantity over quality.

so when gOg releases this anthology, you will say in the release thread something in the lines of "gOg are now doing quantity over quality"?
