I've been thinking about this. I personally think that Cinemaware should remove the three existing releases from GOG, add the Anthology for sale, and then automatically upgrade anyone who purchased any of the previous CW releases to the Anthology.

For the record, I do not own any of the Cinemaware games on GOG yet. This just seems most fair to me for those who bought those games in good faith to support them.

MrBoat: I don't care about being sold separately, what I see on steam is an understimation of them all by mixing them without any sense. Sports, Strategy, Simulation...
Who cares, there are nothing more than old games, pack and sell them all.

Hope we can see some of them here on GOG, joined or separed.

amok: And they all come with soundtracks!
And manuals? Is soundtrack for Defender of the Crown repaired (gog's soundtrack plays too slow)?

This reminds me of the time when Amanita Design included Botanicula with exclusive extras in a Humble Bundle at launch, screwing over people who had preordered the game. Why would Cinemaware want to undermine their releases on GOG like this? The fans that have picked up their three classic releases thus far have already paid double what the anthology of 13 games is currently selling for on Steam. Poor form.

No, cant see any manuals. Not sure about DoC soundtrack yet. I am playing KoC - the game that made me buy an Amiga :). I am in heaven.
on sale on Steam for 1 week.... come on GOG....match em!
If the anthology does come to GOG in lieu of additional standalone releases, do those of us that purchased the individual titles get a partial refund or discount?

Yup...that would be me. But I'm not disappointed about pricing but more about Steam users gets full catalog at their disposal and I have to wait who knows how long for GOG's release. As a classic gaming fan with a 4 year experience on GOG I am mildly interested in big sales as I already have (more or less) classics I wanted to buy. But if GOG puts those 13 Cinemaware classic on sale - that would make my day.
Gahhh, nostalgy shock when I saw that.

That BOXING Game! I wasted so much time playing that, I loved it. Played it endlessly at the time.
Wings! is still <3
Defender of the Crown was my main C64 game I think? Maybe amiga.
It came from the Desert, remember playing that at a friends house.
Lords of the Rising Sun, looks very deja vu, think I played that a lot too but forgot!

That price though, oh my... makes you wonder why they're being drip released here. Perhaps GOG prefers games as single entities rather than a pack. Then again, if GOG starts releasing amazing value packs like this, it might make people wonder why some of the other classics aren't bundled up like this.

If GOG released all the games here as singles the whole collection at their current single prices it would cost €57.48 (no discount) versus the Anthology €9.99 (no discount)

Good thing I didn't buy any of the Cinemaware games from GOG yet. Not that I will buy them from Steam either, but it seems Cinemaware is ripping off the GOG users, by selling the same games for a far higher price. The compilation is about the price of two Cinemaware games on GOG.

I guess they might bring that compilation also to GOG, but then the GOG users who have already bought some of the games separately probably won't be pleased, I guess. Oh well... And then some people say GOG should limit themselves only to old games, tsk tsk. Goldmine indeed...

Good thing also that I'm not really that keen to replay any of the CW game for now (after all, most of them were pretty simplistic games already back in the 80s, the main point was the graphics, music and "movielike" presentation). I may be more interested to some of the remakes though.

yyahoo: Personally, I think Steam wouldn't allow single game releases of their titles and forced them into a compilation release. How that will affect GOG releases moving forward, I don't know. I didn't have any doubt that Cinemaware was holding back games to release slowly, so I don't care about that. I think Steam forced their hand and now they have to figure out how to handle GOG. It would be bothersome to me if they continued forward releasing each game on GOG for $6 a pop.

amok: Steam really don't care either way. You may as well speculate that it is gOg who forces Cinemaware to drip-feed one-by-one title to milk as much monies as possible out of us.
That's true because Retroism/Night Dive released games one by one for 6.99 on Steam.
Cinemaware responds!!!

They are claiming that it is a mistake by the publisher handling their products.

I haven't bought any of the Cinemaware titles yet, and now I am very happy that I didn't. Anyone that is angry because of this has the full right to be upset. If you made purchases of the 3 classic Cinemaware titles on GOG please let them know how you feel about this "Anthology" release on steam.

(Disregard, it looks like they are willing to correct this. Whether or not this was an error of judgement or a simple mistake remains to be seen however.)
