I mean, I wouldn't buy Black Myth at all, because the developers behind the games are...chauvinistic at best.
And that's not even accounting for the baffling request that content influencers (yet not reviewers) received ahead of the game.
But hey, bad wizard game also released to glowing reviews, so shrug?

timppu: Ok, but what is your mental health condition? Why do you mention your colleagues' situation? You are not buying the game for them, are you?
So if it didn't become clear yet, buy that Wukong game. It sounds sexy.

In situations of high stress, vidoegames are more likely to worsen it than be relaxing.
Been there, I'd recommend some physical activity instead to "shut down" the brain for a bit and reset it, it really helps a lot.
I'm serious, even half a hour of walk makes a huge difference.

There are a couple of posts suggesting seeking professional help in situations where you are struggling (to keep yourself sane for example )
Zhe posts help can be found in many places, though you are probably right to name the proffesionals
-------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to add that, at least in the Netherlands, looking to help for these kinds of situations is quite easy. Any local area doctor will listen to your story and provide a multitude of options that are probably very helpful to your specific situation (without costing to much money)
Alternatively, searching on the web can also provide for solutions

Buying another game in this situation is a big NONO. You are not tackling any problems. You are actively avoiding it.
This is like taking painkillers. It will only numb your pain, but ultimately not fix anything.
Here, read this blog post instead. It's a good start:
https://nickwignall.com/manage-your-stressors-not-your-stress/
(I don't know where I got this link from. Possibly from somewhere else in this forum. Anyways, go and read it!)
but isn't buying (and of course playing) a game similar to buying a massage? or maybe a therapy session? thanks for the link btw, very helpfull Buying another game in this situation is a big NONO. You are not tackling any problems. You are actively avoiding it.

one of the reasons i added a good condition to the job requirements still thank you, most people don't realize how beneficial walking can be. Been there, I'd recommend some physical activity instead to "shut down" the brain for a bit and reset it, it really helps a lot.

Probably better just to spend the coins on a game i may enjoy, in a comparable situation, because those 08/15 doctors usually provided (and fully paid by the health insurance) could drive me insane. Some good sex with the right person may help too... so i think the solution is a individual thing, there is no standard recipe.
However... i would stay away from drugs...

Hi Zim
"High pressure work environment. Demanding a good physical condition as well as a healthy mindset.
...
You need a new game,"
Looks like a big non sequitur.
If the person in this situation needs a new experience, it does not seem that playing videogames is going to be a new experience for said person.
If this person needs to be in good physical condition, it does not seem that videogames are going to help much with that.
If a healthy mindset is required, probably some fresh air an mild exercise would help. Also, any kind of socializing, even taking a walk or visiting a populated area, if you find yourself living in a place where some friends are not at hand.
The thing with videogames is that more often than not they evaporate big chunks of your time. There is an opportunity cost, since the time that you dedicate to playing games draws away from other activities. Like those mentioned above, as well as sleeping. Playing videogames can be compared to drinking beer or smoking, only that often it is done alone indoors. Add to that that it is easy to adopt a bat posture while seating playing a videogame. So, it requires some balance and self-control to keep it a not-too-unhealthy activity.
On the other hand, some time with a videogame can become a small reward after doing some chores, and we know that videogames can be fun and sometimes mind-expanding, but better keep the habit under control.
About family, what about trying to help them with their tasks/chores/issues/problems first, if they are not available for helping the person we are talking about? It might make for a better environment, possibly.
Thinking and caring for other people might help a lot. Also taking a walk, if no other healthy activity is available.
Good luck to the guy/gal you wrote about!

Xeshra: Yes, many people are contacting me all of a sudden, i do not even know how it was happening because i never tried contacting them... i just do the things i always do... for example writing a text because i feel like doing it; simply be myself, be authentic... and if something or someone may appear, welcoming it, as it may be the next big present.
Did an AI write this post? One trained on a mysogynist body of text, too. The paragraphs do not make much sense when put together, especially the last (quoted above) but the first paragraph is outright sickening.
Is this a new level of low effort for those "seeking reactions"?

If I have the money, I would buy -
Black Myth Wukong
This game has phenomenal reviews. Over 2 million people are playing and enjoying this game as we speak.
Plus the developers reject the western woke ideology crap and believe in making games for gamers by gamers.

Ring Runner: Flight of the sages, well under $70 (More like $10), and any Zachtronics game will keep you busy for hours. Or get free games from EGS, the weekly giveaways i have like 300 games there and haven't put in a cent, and quite a few good titles too.
If you HAVE to have an arena style combat game, i'd probably go the original Bayonetta, or God of War games which will have deep discounts probably; Then wait for the new games for a year or so for the price to come down.
Mind you Black Myth Wukong looks very promising (As does other non-US games where they don't uglyfiy the girls and throw in woke nonsense), while Civilization 7.... I've lost interest in strategy games that take forever to take turns, i just don't have the patience i had when i was 14 when Civ 1-2 were still a thing.
Well that's my 2 cents.

As for your original question, I think I found the perfect solution. I bought LEGO LOTR from GOG yesterday for only 4.99€!!! So should you. The game has everything: elves, Gandalf, orcs, Gandalf, hobbits, Gandalf, dwarves, Gandalf, Gandalf, Gandalf and Gandalf!
When you start the game, you will completely forget about those other games whose names I don't even remember anymore.

I know a woman, she was not able to speak a single sentence in Japanese language (maybe a word yes).... and after 2 week of going to Japan she has been married to a husband. Both my sisters... they both have been married at 18 as well (for one of them it did not turn out well, however), so i just state a fact backed up by clear science (we are not in the right forum here, else i could hand you over tons of materials), nothing else. It simply is, in general, way easier for them "socializing".
To some people, by nature, it is simply harder and i do fully backup this proven science. Besides, indeed i love women and there are many great women around in my life.

Regarding LEGO LOTR, i guess there was a advertisement yesterday as it is currently on a big discount. I did not take it serious but perhaps i should take another look.
Ah yes, good games are not necessarily a matter of the amount of coins spend... and i think those overpriced mainstream games, one of them known as CIV 7, may not necessarily be worth this tons of cash... and not even released yet.
Besides, already told, CIV 7 we can not even talk about... simply not released. Regarding Black Myth Wukong... i do not really care if some of those developers are "non-woke" or even to some extend chauvinistic. However, the conditions that come with this game... a heavy DRM including Denuvo, the usual big prices, and even NO physical disc anymore... as they seem to become lazy in order to become "gamer friendly" which i do not consider "from gamers to gamers" because we have many different gamers... not just the online-DRM-gamers, mainly on Steam, who apparently enjoy "souls-like" and are calling almost anything in this direction automatically souls-like. So, i think they got a bad attitude and any kind of diversity is surely not their strong spot.
For me, both games are currently either science fiction or a no go.

I'm from Italy, and getting any kind of mental health support from public healthcare is outright impossible unless you're really in an extremely dire situation. Life threatening tier, I mean. This bad.
The public system just thinks mental health isn't "really" health, only the physical one matters somehow... if you want to get a therapist, be ready to fork over 100€+ per session, something people like me with a glorious 4€/h wage can just forget about.
So, in short, you can take care of your psyche only if you're wealthy.

Yeah, there is a clear discrepancy with the coins a majority is getting and the coins they need to spend in order to get the required things in their life going. In my mind, a huge part of the system is broken already and the required capital either destroyed on purpose, else there is lesser profit, or it is simply at the wrong spot... so it can not "move things" which is the basic function of those coins "energy, or making things move". However, part of the whole issue is as well the acceptance in order to work for those 4 coins a hour, sorry to say, because no matter the work, thats clearly way to less. The very problem is, you may "move" for 4 coins but almost any other people may not... so there is a disbalance and discrepancy that can not produce any flow. A good economy is a "whole thing", not a broken mess.
I know many people, some in US some in Norway or elsewhere, they all say "they worry the current generation" because things like homes have become so expensive: Someone with a average income can not buy it anymore, not even while working a entire life. It was very different at the previous generations which was actually able to afford a home in a realistic time frame. Nowadays, for most of us... either there is a inheritance or most of us are pretty much doomed.
I absolutely agree, mental health is very important and sometimes it may be required to meet someone with the ability to treat something outside the physical body. In fact, i would say... about 50% of every sickness is caused by our psyche, so it is not physical by nature or source. However... it can become physical at some point, as our body is "connected". Not taking this whole matter and this interconnection serious i consider a big failure.
