So, I'm looking to start a new game (or series) but I've got a really picky set of requirements (otherwise, it'd be too easy for you :P)

1. Though not 100% necessary, I'd REALLY like it to be on GOG.
2. I don't have a gaming rig, so it needs to be really light on resources.
3. I don't like isometric views (like Fallout), so a lot of old RPG's are out.
4. I want it to be EXTREMELY choice-based (Think Mass Effect...I LOVED that game!)
5. I'd like it to be sci-fi, though I can get into fantasy too.

There is Choice of Robots, but I only have that on Android, though it may or may not be on other platforms. Its text based, but its VERY FULL OF CHOICES and the setting revolves all around robots and how they evolve into highly intelligent creatures... well that is if you pick up the right choices and see.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines seems to fit your 2nd, 3rd and 4th criteria. Since it's not on GOG, your choices are either to track down a used retail copy or to buy it on Steam. As for saying non-gaming rig, I assume you have played Mass Effect on that rig? If yes, then Bloodlines should run like a charm.

I lost ones my saves and I did play it alot.. I don't know what happens to nameless one or that skull. Perhaps I will sometime know enough.

That game was the first one I thought of as well.

Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, and Judgment Rites. There are a variety of solutions and dialogue choices for each episode. Even if the outcome is awful, you will be allowed to proceed to the next episode. As the Elasi pirates can attest, I spare no prisoners. Not even if they happen to be Starfleet personnel held in the brig.

and if you don't mind using steam and anime-look, there are several recently translated VNs (Visual Novels) which are only reading and making choices.

The Banner Saga is quite choice based.. and really good.
It might break your no Isometric rule, and is fantasy rather than sci fi.

But it's awesome, and you should play it.
