Yes. But Swiss cheese is the bestest.
Actually, it's brie.

I once ate a block of cheese the size of a car battery. I regret nothing!

Ixamyakxim: I had a store not too far from my home that sold stuff priced by the quarter pound, so psychologically it wasn't as devastating. I'd love to pop in and get nice small quantities of two or three cheeses. Sweet, soft, firm, tangy; I'd go for it all. Was VERY upset when that place closed a few years ago :(

Vitek: We also have similar problem. There is one good cheese store in the city but, while it has not closed, it is slowly moving into something else, havbing less and less cheese and more of other delicacies which we don't care for too much.
It's sad world.
You have my sympathies :( Sure there are a few specialty stores (that sell stuff that isn't as good for twice the price) and the markets are better than before. But there's nothing like having a place with a great selection, where you can go ask for "oh just a little of that one... and that looks good, I'll take some of it... and ooooh wow I've never even heard of that before..." It was a fun and tasty as hell traditional luxury that I could enjoy from time to time.

*sigh* Now I miss that place LOL!
