Reaper9988: Mhh Desert law looks interesting, and 0.59 Cents ? Can't say no to that.

Rezalon: Good to see GOG is shallow enough to flog this shit from Tencent when they so much as publish a Taiwanese game with one harmless little joke they kowtow to the wumau and remove it from the store.

If anyone here has some integrity they'd purchase an ethically made game like Devotion over any of the tat in this sale.

Reaper9988: Well that was a shitty move, Winnie the Poo really doesn't take Jokes all too well and China is a big market.....
Still don't see what that has to do with these games ?
In 2022 Fulqrum (then still known as 1C Entertainment/Publishing) was sold off to Tencent which answers to your friendly neighbourhood Chinese Communist Party.

I've never heard of these games before. Are they good or bad games? And I'm not talking about Tencent since I don't care about that.

I am talking about how good are the games themselves?

WinterSnowfall: Bought everything, keep them coming. There's plenty of tittles left in the Fulqrum Publishing repertoire to release here.

moehlsch: @GOG please also get the original Deathtrack

Gudadantza: For fans of the Blitzkrieg games style of gameplay It should be worth a try.
I appreciate your effort, but for most people, using an obscure game to define another obscure game doesn't mean anything.

Could you explain the game in relation to a commonly-known game?

Blitzkrieg series are well know games for veteran RTS fans. I woldn't call them obscure. Unless obscure means something different to Starcraft.

Anyways, the relation is in the engine. They do use the same one modified. And the same gameplay, They are isometric RTS games without the traditional base building. You play with what you have at the beginning of the map.

How goes your boycott of everything developed/published by Riot (Forge) or every game running on Unreal?
Strictly speaking you'd have to stop purchasing titles on the other platform as well, since Devotion obviously was too hot to handle for the spineless cowards over at Valve HQ too.

Seems they have a big share of Activision Blizzard too, I play World of Warcraft.
I is communist :(
I hate League of legends with a passion though so maybe that does absolve me lol

I haven't touched a single Riot game. Unreal is also only minority owned by Tencent; until they get outright bought or majority owned then I tentatively use their products.

And, no, I won't stop purchasing games from Steam nor GOG because the money I give them doesn't directly go to the CCP. I don't appreciate their doing business with Tencent, Net Ease, etc., but I have to pick and choose my battles.
Instantly bought Death Track: Resurrection, I couldn't miss it for that price ;)

btw, if you are interested, the game fully supports the overlay feature, you just have to force enable it on Galaxy.
If you are interested in other games which support it, you can check out my thread :D
Now bring WW1 and Cuban missile crisis to GOG

Gudadantza: A game that never heard about was Desert Law. It is a game based in the Blitzkrieg Engine I never was aware of its existence. Something similar to what other guys did with the game Stalingrad but with a completelly different setting and more focused on story apparently.

For fans of the Blitzkrieg games style of gameplay It should be worth a try. Also I like a lot the art direction indeed. It appears to be polished and the comic book approach is very atractive.
GOG should try bring frontline fields of thunder which is Blitzkrieg 2 spin off.

I'm afraid it's much much worse than that. I am responsible for countless acts of cyber genocide and have probably killed tens of thousand PCs and NPCs in my lifetime. I don't know how I'll ever be able to cyber-live with myself.

So even your ethics are rather half-assed then, eh? :P

avatar
NuffCatnip: [...] I often times play them for a bit, but drop them after an hour or so. :/
That's still fine in my book, or at least better than "buy and forget".

I have Cuban Missile Crisis and its standalone expansion in my Steam account for years, And Stalingrad on IGG If I am not wrong,
Not sure about the others you are mentioning but I have the feeling that sooner or later, Cuban, and the Stalingrad spinoffs will be available here

The Cuban Missile Crisis games are pretty interesting. They add a little strategic turn based layer for the campaigns

EDIT: Not mentionig (just for the record) That previously I still own Stalingrad in physical version, great manual and the box fits fine in my library but it was one of those cases where the game copy protention stopped working for me and I couldn't install it until I had the digital copy of the game. UFO Aftermath was another example of the same shit :D

After a little thought I realized it's better to purchase, because for the current price it's better to spend an hour or two on playing them than for reading reviews ;) Each one has something special. Only Freight Tycoon Inc. looks like something I doubt I'd want to play; not my cup of tea.

Thank you for the interesting info. This comment was more than enough to convince me :)

Years ago, I got most Blitzkrieg spinoff games in a big 1C company bundle on Gamersgate. Most games were DRM-free at the time.

We are missing a few Blitzkrieg spinoff games on GOG. A few we named are in other stores already.
Stalingrad
WWI: The Great War
Cuban missile crisis
Stalingrad
Mission Barbarossa
Talvisota: Icy Hell

Blitzkrieg 2 spin off
Frontline: Fields of Thunder

Even Sudden Strike spinoff I like to see on GOG.
Sudden Strike: Cold War.
