Unnatural selection.
Wow, that's some blatant false advertising, those girls are definitely not foxes.

DRM-free lost because people keep voting with their wallets for Steam because of a variety of different reasons. So GOG has no choice but to explore revenue streams from other markets.

Of course, bringing up a need for adult filters and slandering NSFW games repetitively every topic is not good for gaining support from your fellow users.

Yeah, they should have gotten some WetBlush artists to draw for this!

foad01: There have been more than 100 of these NSFW game release threads. Most of them got derailed with people not wanting these games and having more filters on GOG. There is a wishlist entry with more than 1000 votes. Here is what you guys have achieved so far and what GOG has changed since they started to sell these games:

That is all. Nothing. Whether some GOG staff members are reading this or not. It is absolutely futile and pointless what you are doing. All what you do is to derail the release threads where people might want to talk about the games instead. A small note. People got banned because of spam, thread derailment and fights in these NSFW threads. This is probably the fourth of even fifth thread I saw you posting this. Your posts in these threads are becoming more and more spam.

RafaelRamus: Obviously, we agree to disagree.

By definition, a spam is "an unsolicited message, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups".

I'm not doing any of such. I'm just asking, in response to something posted by GoG staff in the front page of the site, for a feature that is related to the product being sold.

All GoG staff needs to do for me to stop is to come and ask me to do so.

Before that, I'm going to keep asking on all relevant channels, including the Community Wishlist you mentioned and the releases that I'm forced to witness.
Since you just announced that you are planning to derail every upcoming NSFW thread I will simply report this post of yours. Who knows ... maybe they ARE your opinion and have just missed your perfect argumentation of why they should do your parenting in a shop that is aimed at adults. In any case it is a clear announcement of planned future derailings and that's against forum TOC in my opinion. So either I am wrong ... in that case nothing will happen and GOG might even take a look at your case or you're wrong and you could expect a warning for derailing this thread and planning to derail future threads as well. That is all up to GOG. I am honestly fed up with posts like yours and obviously this is the way you want things to go.

Sure, go ahead.

I don't think I'm derailing anything, I don't think I'm being a bad sport, and honestly, if you all could have just shrugged off my initial comment I would have moved on and I would not have had to come back to the thread to comment again. This indicates to me that we all want to have this conversation.

I am simply saying "I don't like these games you released, allow me to filter them out of my GoG news feed and frontpage", and I fail to see how that is not related to the release of said games (which is the reason of the existence of this thread). I'm not even complaining that they are being released in the first place, just that I can't filter out the news that they are!

Anyway, let's wait until GoG tells me to stop existing in the comments section of the site then.

It wasn't my intention to slander NSFW every topic, just to ask for filters that would allow me and my folk to filter those releases out. I do accept suggestions: what would be good for gaining support from my fellow users then?

I don't think people that do enjoy NSFW will ever come to my side regarding this, so there is little else I can do besides direct my comments to people that do agree with me and to GoG staff so they can take our wishes seriously.

Stick to one thread about it and community wishlist it like everybody else for anything around here. If it bothers you so much, maybe you should stick to Steam and check back here once every quarter to see if it's been implemented yet. But certainly bitching about it is not going to get anything done faster. Outrage only works if you have numbers and media outlets on your side.

Here's the kicker - I don't own many NSFW games besides Arcadius series, Moero Chronicles, and Akiba's Trip that are all considered tame. I support 18+ filters too and I find your methodology unproductive. All you're really doing is discouraging devpubs from distributing here with your negativities, which is why you have such adverse reactions to your grandstanding.

That's doesn't look to me like a recipe for gathering support, only a recipe for not bothering those that will be bothered by my request (which is obviously the minority of people that read these threads - that, or this forum is way more empty than I thought, which again points to me not bothering the majority of the consumer base).

So no, I don't think your method will work any better than mine. Thanks for the input anyway.
Hmm, that first game looks silly and cutesy enough.
Also let's be honest.....who isn't sold by 'attack or plap'? ;)

Great, keep bitching. I'll see you in the next one because these NSFW games aren't stopping with your strategy so far.

It was never my intention for them to stop, just to ask GoG for the ability to filter them out. I don't have a secret agenda here regarding this, I genuinely just want the ability to opt out of those announcements. You know, because, guess what, I visit the site regularly - because I care. That's all.

Anyways, see you later then!
Filter for all kinds of games are good, every game type is disliked by some people.

Filters for one specific type? I'll oppose that wherever I can. And I do that because I visit the site regularly - because I care.
I care for all players and fans of whatever genres to be treated equally.

Anyway, every post - no matter if on topic or not - to these threads brings more attention, more potential sales and more reason for GOG to actually push these games.

Works for me. As long as the feature is there, each player can do whatever he wants. If you want to filter all games that are not NSFW, well, you do you. What I want is not different than what Steam and other sites already offer.
