So gog is now a dump for anime visual novels... Come on, get your shit together and release some actual games! You can do better than this!

At least they are tagged properly and won't pop up in the search if you disable Visual Novel tag. Besides they are gonna sink to the bottom like they always do...

Depends on the kind of story is it. If it is plain vanilla romance, then yes, I can do that myself. I like my IRL love to be straightforward, well adjusted and boring.

But if it is some horror story, thriller or something of the kind, then I can play a game with dark and/or messed up characters making all manners of awful or downright evil decisions to see how the other half lives and when all is said and done, count my blessings and get back to my safe boring life.

That holds some value.

??? I'm not interested in the p0rn games but we're getting plenty of "actual games", like Alpha Protocol, God of War, South Park Snow Days, and numerous indies.

Also, maybe many devs and publishers just don't want to release here because their games just don't sell well enough? In which case, what can GOG do? They can't "minimum guarantee" everyone.

I think some people are forgetting about the elephant in the room: we keep getting more of these games because they're probably selling well... or at least in decent amounts :P.

The sales certainly a factor. But "Publishers" like Ubitheft, Electronic Farts and Crapcom etc. just won't release stuff without their precious DRM.
We got quite a few Playstation Adaptions(Older Ones) as Sony is ok to have their Ports DRMFree.

To each their own, I get it, but some of the stuff is simply abhorrent.

Edit: Admittedly, the entry wasn't for the Redux edition, maybe they removed some of the content (rape among other things), but I'd guess it's the same.
Should I be wrong, sorry. :P
