The galactic Summer Sale on GOG.COM still shines in the sky with over 3000 game deals up to 95% off. Today we present you with 3 fun titles that you can claim and download for free.

Ascendant is an action-adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a mighty demigod. While journeying through on the planet controlled by his rivals, our hero must use every blessing and spell at his disposal to survive. This colorful indie game poses quite a challenge to the player. The permanent death system and randomly generated levels will throw you into a new world each time you begin a fresh game.

Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure is an indie adventure game that will take you on a retro-style journey. As Delores Edmund, a game developer and a part-time photographer, you must journey into the Thimbleweed Park to uncover some mind-blowing mysteries. The game serves as a tie-in to the award-winning Thimbleweed Park from the creators of the famous Monkey Island series - Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.

War Wind is a classic RTS set on a distant planet of Yavain. Take command of one of the four unique armies and try to take control of the alien world. The game bears much resemblance to another hit from 1996 - Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, yet it brought many innovations to the table. Level advancement, spell-casting system, biomechanically enhanced monsters – those are only a few features that will help make it through 28 ready-to-play scenarios.

Just downloaded Ascendant, wich strangely for Linux is twice the size, 1Gb vs 500Mb.
Never heard of the game before but is very cool, is you like platforming and "Roguelike" this is a very nice way to spend a few hours here and there.
I've only played a little but controls are tight enough, although the combat seem a little simple but fast to be learned. Visuals are good too, kinda remind me Rayman (for those with integrated graphics, the game run very well but you may want to uncheck some post processing and/or anti-aliasing).

The imediate comparison is Spelunky, wich is also free (not the HD version on GOG) and have much deeper gameplay but if you don't like the caotic and fast nature of Spelunky give Ascendant a try.
Thanks for the freebies !
Very cool, thanks.
Thanks, GOG!
Thanks for freebies, GoG. Although I forgot to add Gwent to cart. My mistake. Maybe next time. :)

Breja: grumble grumble.
I hope you're doing well. Over the years, nothing much seems to make you happy here. Maybe I'm wrong but you seem miserable.
I just tried to get the and got an error:
"There was a problem with processing your payment. Please try again."

I have some Monopoly money for you....
Ascendant is really good, I've played it way more than I care to admit. Not saying everyone will like it, but personally I highly recommend getting it.
Thanks a lot :)
Awesome move Gog. Freebies of good games are always welcome. And I have an interest in all these genres.

Glaucos: Thanks for the freebies! But... Ascendant still has a price tag
It seems that it was only affecting us brazilians. I wouldn't know at first because I already had Ascendant in my library.

But it appears that the issue is gone now, if the price of the gift purchase is any indication.

I'm... not sure what you mean, how or why you reached that conclusion, but thank you for your concern. I guess.

Huh.

I wasn't even "grumbling", none of what I said was meant as complaints about GOG, but I guess people on teh interwbz really only see things as either "yay hooray best ever !!!1!1!" or "this is worse than hilter I hope your car gets cancer".

Just an overall observation - not based on the one post, but just your posts in general. I get the vibe you're unhappy. If I'm way off, all the better. Be well!
Thanks, GOG for the free games, and also thank you for going through the effort to self-publish games from the SSI library. There's still some gaming gold in that mine.
