I received a chat message from someone and their username shows up as the most recent conversation (first on the list) but when I click on it to view the chat it comes up blank, even though it seems like someone sent me something.

I have 3 other chats (don't do a lot of chatting) and while 2 of them are still there, the oldest one comes up blank as well.

Is this a glitch? Does it have to do with privacy settings? Since it looks like someone definitely sent me a message I'd like to know why it's coming up blank.

I see your message, but it is blank. What do you mean space as a character? Is it not letting you send something to me? I have my settings set to allow anybody to send me a message.

EDIT: Grargrar discovered that if you click on the start conversation button that shows up when hovering over someone's username on these forums, it will send them a notification even if they don't actually send a message, so it's likely that someone didn't message me after all and accidentally clicked on my name. Also I guess my old message being erased is a result of GOG switching chat systems. So I think Grargrar has solved everything. Thanks again!

Yep, I see you in my chat as if you sent a message but I don't see anything. Looks like that's it.
