Chaz: Mundamatt is not video game content creator, it's a news show that cover politics, current events, entertainment and occasionally video games and only if it's something controversial.

It's like saying TYT is a video game content creator because every once in a while they covered some game controversy
Ah, see. That's how information works. People just assumed it was a videogame content creator and they told me about him. I must admit I did not care enough to be interested to look. My bad then.

LiquidOxygen80: I tend to think that has more to do with the fact that it's EA we're talking about here. CDPR still has lots of good will from gamers. EA and DICE these days? Not so much.
avatar
amok: which is off course why they are doing so badly these days, no one wants their games anymore.
I didn't say EA was going bankrupt, nor did I imply it. What I said, is that core games have become fed up with them due to things like Andromeda's issues, Battlefront 2, and now this. I don't buy into the EA's gonna fold meme, so stop putting words in my mouth.

That's the thing people don't get. EA has a large enough offering that they can successfully move away from the core gaming demographic with very few issues, and that's without the guaranteed billions that come in thanks to Madden and especially FIFA, from fans who will buy them regardless of whether they're good or shit, and buy all the ultimate packs and all that nonsense.

EA could jettison the idea of making anything but sports and mobile titles and be stupid profitable. I could totally see them doing it, too.

I'd honestly be okay with them doing it, too, because at least then, they could drop the pretenses.

They wount though as Mass Effect, Dragon Age and other titles they make are still huge. Plus they have already said the next Dragon Age is in the works and they are thinking about the next Mass Effect (which if it looks like Anthem then I really wouldnt hold hope for it.)

Acriz: Do people even look at the links they post?
While the article tells us how well EA did until May, the updated chart for EA's stock tells us a loss over $20 towards the end of July. They did well until Battlefield V was announced. Jimmies were rustled.
I doubt that. It's been proven time and again no single thing can rustle fanboi jimmies (which is why CDPR was wrong to apologize , it's just EA knew they had a stinker on their hands and went chasing the pink dollar (see also "let's remake X with wimminz!!!1!") knowing their usual fanbase weren't biting.

lunaticox: I remember with the Postal joke situation one of the GOG PR representatives was doing the rounds there on Resetera explaining the situation.
If my information is correct the recent post Doxxing a CDPR employee was deleted, but the user was not intermediately banned after doing so.

I would advice any staff members against interacting with that site entirely, clearly the Resetera moderation team is not overly concerned with your safety.
Clearly. Of course, what should we expect from the fringe offshoot of a place like NeoGAF?
