Sarafan: What are they loosing? The stock price value has no influence on the financial condition of the company itself. It has only a meaningful impact in case someone wants to take over it. The financial situation of CD Projekt is stable. The results for Q1 2022 are better than expected and the thing that's happening with the stock price is scandalous. It's almost like someone wants to deliberately lower the price for some reason.
You mean like people with a personal grunge, who just want to see the world burn?
But to be fair.
Poland got some new laws about taxes/ incidental wage cost to my knowledge.
EZB was expected to finally increase interest rate and did so (not as much as expected though) and is reducing its stock and bond buyingprogramm, what is never something the stock marked does like.
Tech stocks are under pressure for some month now, even MS and Apple lost billions in worth..
Lot of shopping in the gaming industry too.
And big franchises start to crumble. To my knowledge the last season of the Witcher series wasn't that well received as the first one and currently it does look like streaming services are crashing their big IPs with full throttle against the wall.
It is like nobody does care about the new game of thrones series.
Seeing the planed series for Star Wars and Marvel from Disney leads either to hysterical laughter or to apathy for the most people..
And the Lord of the Rings series seems to be an accident looking for a place to happen already.
And I'm not sure how it will work out for the Cyberpunk Series either.
So, there is a lot of holding back when looking at tech companies and whoever is using a liked multi media franchise.
Ah yes, and there is still this virus ramping havoc around the world, currently at the european working bench also known as China where it is not known if they can win that fight the way they want to.
And we got this little military madness going on right now that is ripping apart the old ways of the economy and leads to high inflation.
And usually the first thing people stop to spend money on is entertainment.
Sounds like a lot of fun for me...
