saying the same thing? Your argument on this post falls apart if the setting were changed.

The problem as I see it with anyone blowing off anyone's arguments as dumb/nonsense/crazy talk just makes it easier to not confront the possibility(however slight) that such people might be justified or right if even just a bit, and helps some maintain their cognitive dissonance/bias.

One Angry Gamer being pro-gamergate is a fact, what I left out was my thoughts on gamergate, so any positive or negative connections are left up to the reader of my statement. I have never even stated my thoughts on gamergate here or anywhere else, so if you think I am being negative about it, that is 100% coming from you and not from myself.

I read One Angry Gamer everyday, its nice to have an alternative news source that isn't aligned with sites like resetera. so my statements are not trying paint it as bad, in fact I am glad its around, it is you who are making assumptions here, not me, but some of those assumptions are from my poor clarifications so, sorry about that.

And with that I am bowing out of this, so you can love it or hate it or dislike it or downrep me to oblivion and I am sure I have lost the respect of some people here because of this thread but I am now officially leaving it and letting it continue to its fate. so GameRager if you reply to this, I will return to reply but I will keep my responses very terse.

What happened is, it's clear that the game journalist had asked a question that puts CDprojectRed in a bit of a rock and a hard place, and CDPR didn't want to let anyone down.

However, the game itself will be on the same trajectory as planned and here's proof of that. Apparently, the "body/gender" that you pick will still affect the options that you will experience in the game. If you pick a male, relevant interactions will be male-specific and if you pick a female character, you will get treated differently in equally relevant instances. We will not be genderless or sexless.

What CDPR was planning, is to simply add on some options on top of the ones already there. I think it's not a bad idea to add on, instead of taking away.
It still is pandering when account all those game journalists complaining for months now for more gender options simply cause else they felt offended by the notion of 2 genders. If this outrage is so-called manufactured it only is because CDPR cowered towards the SJW type people that constantly demand censorship of what they don't like or demand stuff added or else they'll write a hit-piece against those devs or publishers.

If anything is manufactured outrage you can blame the game journalist constantly demanding social justice stuff in games or censorship cause they simply got offended.

1st bit above: Thank you for that...it is appreciated.

2nd bit above: By saying OAG, a semi-alt-right site...it(even if unintentionally) paints that site in a certain light.....that's all I was trying to say. I see many sites do it to paint other sites/people as bad and I dislike when others do it even if unintentionally. I wasn't trying to say you did so intentionally or for bad reasons, just that is is a bit misleading when people do so for any reason.

3rd bit above: I actually found your replies to be mostly good and civil, which is a breath of fresh air compared to some acting silly(the one doing it too much I mean) or insulting others instead of debating more. +1 to most of them. :)

I see this as a huge positive. No more whining about lack of female options, no whining about not having relatable characters and no pandering with quotas of cookiecutter playable characters. I always wondered how the modern trend of having fixed ''minority'' characters like in Overwatch or Mass Effect was ever considered more diverse than just giving a palette to the player and allowing them to create whatever chromosome thieving monstrosity they wanted. Also better than having all the genders (allegedly there are many) and associated nomenclature. This might be the least annoying method of including these options yet. Good to know they aren't caving to anyone else's opinion on how gender should be in their game. Now if they plan on having LMGs having zero recoil like in the (fully scripted, rehearsed and pre-prepared)''gameplay'' demo though...........

Mentally-ill developers (or just perverts?) from Beamdog did similar stuff with Baldur's Gate EE: you can select Female voice for Male character and vice-versa.

And looks like it came unnoticed by most gamers. :/

Thank god vsr chimed in to calm things down.

For a second there this thread was in danger of becoming a bitch fest for paranoid, homophobic, and if you ask me extremely insecure (stuck in the closet), assholes.

Typically the people most vocal in their hatred of LGBT are just trying to convince everyone that they aren't LGBT.

I don't see a problem with this.....also please don't call such people mentally ill or perverts. Generalizations such as that(even if true somehow) shut down conversations before they can get going.
