kai2: You don't see it?
You want some kind of empirical justification for change...
... yet...
You validate arguments based on no empirical evidence
What did I not see? I ask seriously as I mainly post without analyzing every single word I write(way too many to do so efficiently/quickly) before posting, though I try to be as clear and accurate as I can.
===================
As for my point: I wasn't trying to validate his argument(as posted in the OP), but rather the one some(including myself) have concerning companies pandering to marginalized groups to make a buck.....which I believe OP MIGHT also hold as a stance & might be part of what prompted his spiel in the first place.
kai2: It would seem you are playing this game with just as much of an agenda as you claim to rail against.
Again there you go (maybe) trying to paint some things/words as generally bad.
Justifying things isn't always bad, and neither is having any sort of agenda....some can have good and noble ones as well. Most of us have some sort of agenda on various things we say/do...that's just how humans are.

Addition-As for evidence: Do we really need evidence to prove some companies aren't just pandering to various marginalized groups to make a buck as if we were all just another fad to make money off of?
So all those media companies(games/movies/comics) are putting more and more LGBT/women/etc in out of sheer coincidence?
