We had a cat that years ago perfectly decapitated a cardinal and left it's head and a few feathers decorating the welcome mat... I really wish I had taken a picture, the head was centered, upright, and facing the door and surrounded by various feathers... It was like some type of Santeria ritual or something.
I'd have believed a person did it but to this day there is no one that was around that would have.

It was really awesome, I regret not getting that photo, even though cardinals are really pretty birds.

I just want to add that an iPad is really shitty for posting on here and too irritating to edit typos after the fact...
best cat present story I have is from when I was little. My mom had bought a new kitchen table and the guys came to deliver it so the front door was wide open. Prancing in came our cat, happy as you please, and placed a dead bunny right where the guys were trying to place the table. But then we discovered the rabbit wasn't dead. it was very much alive. Much insanity ensued, and somehow we managed to get it outside.

Geckos for me... :)
Oh, another story, my sisters baby kitten recently got stuck inside a coca-cola machine at a hotel.

Wish she took pictures.
The cats we have now are incredibly loving, sometimes pushily so. You can't miss that they care, that's for sure. It can be annoying if they want to be petted at 3am, and sing about it until we wake up, but given how much they seem to care when we feel bad, they are well worth the trouble

gbaz69: Damn those cats~~~~

My cat meows and meows waking me up, I walk him over to the cat food dish and even gave him some fresh chow... he turns nose up then walks away...
I walk him to the door, and he doesn't want outside.

He then walks to the middle of the carpet, stretches, then curls up and falls asleep just like that....

Now I can't fall asleep...

Should I be mean and wake my cat up, like he did for me? he literally looked at me just before falling asleep...
In order to understand the mind of a cat, you must not see the cat as just a pet who thinks you are his master...

He just wanted to be near you, you also reward him by giving him what he wants when you acknowledge the meow meow.

I've been there, and it drives you crazy. Rumor is they get over it if ignore them long enough. It's not a one night deal unfortunately, and they still require attention at some point if they are looking for it.

I have two and they aren't allowed in the bedroom. At this point one might call me in the morning if I sleep in really late, but she will usually hush if I tell her no. When I open the door, one is usually outside waiting for me.

Both of mine are needy, one especially so. I don't let them go outside, so I'm all they got, but then they are all I've got, so we get along pretty well these days.

I KNOW! Now I really want to do it, but everyone will know who it is so I've ruined it by (wait for it...). Letting the cat out of the bag.
(See how I got back on the rails there? I'd + 1 myself if I could)
Well, it only happened once, maybe he did want food, but changed his mind, or maybe he just wanted me to be near him while he fell asleep.

Ps. he didn't sleep long... but man I'm envious of how relaxed cats can look some times, all upside down with a smile on their face. My sleeps are all ways unrestful, sadly.
I have a 4 week old kitten that was abandoned / or some how wondered away from Mommy. Gizmo is learning to "talk" He has been really good at staying in my old room as to keep him from the other cat. Until the last few days I am slowly trying to introduce the two. I put Gizmo back tonight to give Ginger some love alone. Only to hear the loud crying meows all the way in the kitchen for 5 straight minutes. I come back to hold me!!!

He also knows the food is kept in the kitchen. If he wants feed. He runs to the door looks at me and meows. I go out get the food and I have been leaving my room door open and he comes out and meows and makes sure to lead the way back to the room so I do not get lost.

Yep he is training me very well. Sigh its a good thing I am a sucker for him...and all animals to be honest.
