I shouldn't waste hours of my free time on CAPTCHAs just because the "gog" platform is super unpopular and no one uses it.

The solution is for "gog" and every person related to this website to go bankrupt/unemployed so that they can get hired into proper jobs where solutions to problems are actually visible.

That might be true for you -- but if your IP has a worse reputation, or you're using a browser that blocks some JS (like I do) gcaptcha is absolutely the worst. Also, Google's Captcha is super American and I had to look up some of the things it asked for.

It seems pretty clear you have a CAPTCHA impediment. This is not GOG's fault.

GOG like all good places will help you help yourself.

Have you considered asking a friend to help you? Do you have any?
What about a neighbor? Surely you have some of those?
But if not, what about a pet?
Your dog or cat or guinea pig or canary ... or any bird brain for that matter, should be able to help you solve CAPTCHA.

And while GOG put it here, as you say, I haven't seen a CAPTCHA here in many months. Probably because I have made sure my account is properly secure.

In any case, the CAPTCHA here at GOG are easy peasy compared to the ones I am always having to deal with elsewhere.

CAPTCHA is often a fact of life on the web.

I've seen captchas in 3 instances overall when i've been here.

1) Logging in (cleared cache of cookies will do this too)
2) Accessing/Changing private/contact information (probably requires 2-step authentication)
3) Redeeming keys

Beyond that i haven't seen them anywhere... although it should be thrown on accounts that do more than say 30 likes/dislikes in a minute.

I think it's more to do with how well Google can recognise you than how secure your account is. They can be a real pain in the bum if you try to prevent yourself from being tracked round the web.

The first two of those probably are correct, haven't done them in a while.
As for redeeming keys, I do that regularly with the special newsletter ones and never see CAPTCHA.

My browser mostly stops tracking, though the GOG site is set as one of the exceptions.

I don't use Google in any case, as Duck Duck Go is my web search engine of choice.

And I never link my Facebook etc accounts to anything.

P.S. I do have a Google account for Gmail though and Google Drive. I only login and check Gmail through Thunderbird though, and haven't used Google Drive in many months. Outside of that, Google mostly only see me when I view a youTube clip, which isn't all that often ... not directly anyway ... and that is only when I am not using mpv.exe with yt-dl.exe to view them.
