GOG, if yall don't get rid of the annoying CAPTCHAS when I try to redeem games I've paid for, then I will start to purchase games on STEAM only.

Having to click on multiple CAPTCHAS is ridiculous. Find another system to prevent bots. No other platform has these CATPCHAS.

I'm sure you enjoy the collection of rocks you live under, as several platforms require challenges just like that.

I agree, google captcha are ridiculous, sometimes it ask me for crosswalk but the but the bot think all white strip are crosswalk, sometimes not so how do you kwow when you should you have to check all the white strip or only the real crosswalk as it is random.
Sometimes there is a little traffic light you have to check it sometimes if you check it you fail ...

I never had to solve a captcha to buy a game here, only to redeem gift codes. If you bought GOG codes elsewhere than here or Humble - like on G2A - be warned that GOG frowns upon that because sometimes those keys are bought with stolen CC infos or hacked accounts and they might be revoked any time.

Oh dear, they are much easier:).....................YEAH RIGHTTTTTT!!!!!!
There are also these wishlists:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/remove_recaptcha
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/nip_google_captcha_in_the_bud
It's pretty unlikely Gog will remove google's tentacles, since the site requires fonts.googleapis.com, according to Privacy Badger. It seems Gog has been assimilated by google, which means it's now … Goog? Gogle?
Also even though CAPTCHAS are annoying sometimes it is s necessary evil to prove that you are not a bot that could cause trouble for the website.

I don't mind the picture CAPTCHAS where you have to match the picture that is easy sometimes. Sony has this for logging into PSN if you want to use the Remote play app.

The CAPTACHS that I hate with a passion are the mixtures of letters and numbers that are very hard to read sometimes.

There are other type of captcha, i understand the need of protecting their website but they could do it with something less annoying.

The problem is they use such to make sure automated bots/etc don't access the site, and stuff that is TOO easy(or un-annoying....i.e. stuff written plainly and clearly in normal fonts) likely wouldn't be as effective.

Maybe but it's ironic that the "prove that your are not a robot" is easier for a bot to solve than an human.

It depends which ones we're talking about.....some are harder for bots to read as the text is distorted....also for others they were originally(more or less) harder for bots to do(which is why people have been solving them, in part.....to help bots read such things easier).

But yeah, you're somewhat right on the irony for some captchas.

(Also I have gotten some bad ones before like the TIMED ones with distorted-etc text.....I hate those...especially when pressed for time/etc)

Of course a better way around these would be a nice 2FA. Rather than GOG's awful email based solution stuck a decade in the past.
