Why is it when we click on a hidden object in the exclusive newsletter discounts we have to do a captcha, despite being logged in? Not only that, we have to go through a dozen captchas until we can finally see the game(s) the discount code is for?
I'm stuck in an infinite CAPTCHA loop hell right now, I tried to do the audio instead and I couldn't make that out if my life depended on it.
there's so many threads about this topic, everyone hates it, there r billion of reasons people have said
And GOG want to stay with this useless feature that is only anoying and not protect anything as bot solve them better than human. They should put the e-mail or app verification like steam or epic for the login. Personaly i only have problem with captcha, sometimes you have to clic sometimes no it depends on google mood.
Hi there!

Would you like to sign my petition?
I just bought Cyberpunk 2077 and used GOG Galaxy to redeem the code. I swear I had to do the CAPTCHA 10 times. I was screaming by the 8th time that this is the last time I buy a GOG game.

It's weird... sometimes I think you can click what you want, and it's "solved", other times you can try as hard as you might, it let's you "retry". I suspect an malicious AI experimenting on us...
As someone pointed me out once, it's apparently to prevent bots bruteforcing codes. But there are better and more user friendly ways to do that, like daily limits for example.

The hilarious part is that Google's CAPTCHA actually is a neural network that has been trained by billions of idiots. That is why it thinks mail boxes are parking meters and parking spaces are cross walks. I usually do the audio one just because I cannot stand the whole "think like a bot trained by idiots" deal. No Google, a garbage can is NOT a car.

The most frustrating elements of CAPTCHA is that it actually does stuff like that. The more CAPTCHAs you do, the more time the system forces you to spend to do them even making them harder for humans but not bots.

Im worried about our future , when these shitty bots will decide on things that matter.

Or perhaps trained by people who aren't from the USA. Crosswalks are zebra crossings, mail boxes are post boxes and a garbage can is a bin in the UK. Also, things often look different in the US, post boxes for example. Obviously it's guessable and presumably most countries have their own version but it is more confusing than it needs to be.

Captchas are the reason why I've never taken gog up on one of their newsletter discounts though.
People can boycott over some China but are happy to to jump through hoops and be spied upon with schemes like captcha......
