Not the classic French one from 1988 (don't let that stop you from voting for it and its sequels, Commander Blood & Big Bug Bang, if you haven't already) but this one:

Announcement Trailer

Captain Blood is an action video game developed by Seawolf Studio and General Arcade, and published by SNEG.

There will be BLOOD!

Captain Blood is a pirate-themed action game set on the Spanish Main in the 17th century, where you step into the boots of a fearsome pirate on a quest for gold and glory. Expect wild adventures with cannon firing, pistol shooting, swashbuckling sword fights, and plenty of pirate shenanigans. This action-packed hack-and-slash features fierce hand-to-hand combat, hordes of enemies, and a classic fighting system with flashy combos and epic finishers.

Prepare for intense deck battles where you can fire the ship’s cannons and fend off blood-thirsty boarding crews. Collect gold to upgrade your fighting skills, buy new weapons, and become the most feared buccaneer on the high seas. Fight for wealth and glory!

Key Features

Epic Pirate Shenanigans – As Captain Blood, live the life of the bravest and most fearsome pirate on the Spanish Main (or at least fake it convincingly).
Intense Action – Dive into fiery hand-to-hand combat and show enemy pirates and landlubbers alike who’s the boss with various slick combat techniques.
Ship Deck Brawls – Fight off enemy pirates trying to board your ship with unique moves, combos, and executions while blasting enemy ships to pieces with your cannons!
Arsenal of Awesomeness – Arm yourself with cutlasses, pistols, muskets, throwing knives, and hand bombs. Don’t forget those sneaky pirate tricks!
Graphic Novel Vibes – Enjoy a unique art style that feels like you’re flipping through a pirate comic book.

The game underwent several iterations throughout the 2000s and was last showcased in 2010 before vanishing for years.

With SNEG involved as the publisher a GoG release is all but officially confirmed I reckon.

Wishlist entry, just in case.
Looks interesting and the graphic style makes me think of the Darksiders games
Voted! Now it's time to wait...

You can definitely tell the decade this was originally developed in.

And yes, SNEG being involved usually equals a day 1 GOG release, looking forward to it.

Neat seeing this finally get an official release, I played a bit of the leaked version during the pandemic.

A more civilized age, you could say.
This looks shoddy as hell tbh.

Dodgy cash in on the success of PotC and also probably why it was last showcased in 2010.

I'm glad some people will look forward to its release, but I can see better things to do with development money (and my wallet).
Actually, this has been kind of officially confirmed as coming to GOG via the "SNEG" game bundle on Humble.

UPDATE:
It looks like Humble is going to sell GOG keys via its store too, so it's pretty much confirmed officially.

Cheers, shouldn't be too long until release then.
Oh, wait. I'm thinking of the other Captain Blood.
I presume this is 'loosely' based on Captain Blood as created by Rafael Sabatini in his novels and stories.

One of my favorite authors for a while. Great if you like swashbuckling stuff ... think Pirates crossed with the Three Musketeers, plus slave plantations in Jamaica etc.

I am hoping it does turn up at GOG.

P.S. If the original stories interest you, they are Public Domain and available to download from Project Gutenberg as free ebooks.
