So, this was kinda out of left field. Capcom announced earlier today that they're bringing Onimusha: Warlords, the 2001 PS2 cult classic, to modern systems. They'll be adding the usual niceties, like widescreen support, analog (non-tank) controls, and a few other additions. It comes out January 15, 2019, and will cost $19.99.

Onimusha was a great game. Still is. And the original had a really cool horror vibe to it that the sequels ditched. Obviously, it's only been announced for a Steam release on PC, but one can hope that GOG will get Capcom publishing here again in time for this. Tired of all these good Capcom games skipping GOG.

Sure bring the game here but i would not touch another Crapcom game unless they update Dragon's Dogma first, i'm sick and tired of these publishers/developers thinking they can get away with customers money a second time without keeping GOG's version up to par with Steams.

It's both a waste of money and clutter in my library, fuck i'm even hesitant to buy games here anymore unless they are completely finished and patched.

Voted! It's quite odd for Capcom to bring such a major title like Dragon's Dogma here, but not plenty of other titles that could be dropped here with comparatively less technical work.

I definitely looking forward to this one, but I'm sad it won't include the extra goodies from the Xbox port TT_TT

I first became aware of the Onimusha series, when I saw the trailer for Onimusha 3. Especially when CGI Jean Reno popped up and started slinging a whip around, Castlevania style. It stood out to me because I had just recently seen Leon. I would love to try Onimusha 3 on PC, DRM-Free, but starting with the series from the beginning seems like a reasonable thing to do for Capcom. And if they bring it to GOG, I'd have no excuse to not support them. Until then, the wishlist can count on my +1.

Don't you love that feeling of not knowing what games are coming for your platform and hoping that the Senpai publishers will finally notice you? Yeah, me neither.


And if they price this old game for 20 bucks, I dread to think what they may have in store with "Removed from Steam because of licensing" Onimusha 3.

What game is Yauza? Did you have to cut the "k" off like your little finger for failure?

I once borrowed a friend's PS2 with this game and Devil May Cry 1, I had time to finish DMC, but not Onimusha, which I played to somewhere very close to the end.

I did play the third one to the end, though. :)
