shimwooley1: Getting Yahoo to help at this point is usless because as I mentioned the GOG yahoo account does not exist anymore.

Trooper1270: How do you know the account does not exist any more, have you asked them ?.
I tried to login on the Yahoo account in GOG and it says "USER NOT FOUND".
The account that doesn't exist anymore: https://www.gog.com/u/shimwooley

I do mean that account but what good is it if I can't access it ?

And as I have already said, contact Yahoo and see if they can sort the problem with the account out, or reinstate it if it was actually deleted/removed, so you can retrieve/access any outstanding emails you have not seen/read yet...

That's when you contact GOG and provide details proving you made purchases on that account in order to regain access to it. You say you tried that, but I'd like to know what was GOG address you used and if you got an automated reply from them.

Well, for one it's pretty useful to know what's actually wrong. Not being able to login is something very different from a deleted account. If your house is on fire but you tell 911 that your cat doesn't eat anymore, chances are that you're not getting the help you need in any sort of timely manner...

Tell GOG that you are the owner of the Shimwooley-Account and that you no longer have access to the associated email. Provide proof of purchase for one or more games in the account.

Or try to re-register the mail adress you used at yahoo. If that works you can regain access to your GOG account that way.

What address did you write to? If you did not get an automated reply, you did something wrong and nobody is going to contact you back.
I got an automated reply, but that's all !

How many days ago did you contact them? There was a long weekend (sort of) in Poland that lasted until Tuesday and support may be experiencing increased number of tickets due to BG3 release. It may take some time before somebody responds to your ticket.
Yeah ! I'll just wait. Thanks again to everybody !

It's not they not responding : the problem is elsewhere, due to a massive amount of tickets they take more time to answer... i know it doesn't help you : but that's the reality : i got a ticket which took an anormal time to get a human answer.

I suppose (i hope) some tickets have a higher priority but it will still takes some times. For your case i can't tell you exactly.

Thanks !
You went into a fight against the chat bot, right?
There is a way to bypass it Keep selecting "other" until he gives up and asks you for a description (it's also possible to write a email directly, but I prefer this way, I got quick responses this way, when they are not overworked after a couple of holidays).

Then try to make it as short as possible, telll them that shimwooley is your old account and you can't access it and the email does not exist anymore. The end. When they have further questions, they will ask them.

But you'll have to look if you can find any proof that this account is indeed yours. They can't just give accounts to others just because they ask for it.

One thing intreagues me ... you canceled your old Email account without changing the email associated at GOG with your account?
