Okay, so, this morning, I tried to download the offline/backup installers for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, and FEAR Platinum, and I can't. The 2nd file for CoJ and the third file for FEAR do not download. If you right click and save as, it will download a 300 kb file and say its done. Each of these files are about 3 gigs. If you left click on them, you get a 404 page. I am assuming, if 2 of 5 games Ive tried to download this morning are having this problem, more must be. I wonder if anybody else is having this issues. I used multiple web browsers and had this issue with each of them.

LaughingMan008: I wonder if anybody else is having this issues.
I can confirm "404 - Not Found" issues with several games including:-

- Amnesia A Machine For Pigs (Part 1)
- Baldur's Gate 2 EE (Part 1)
- Dishonored Definitive Edition (Parts 2-3)
- FEAR (Part 3)
- Firewatch (Part 1)
- Lair of The Clockwork God (Linux & Mac versions too)
- Neverwinter Nights EE (All DLC except Tyrants of the Moonsea & Dark Dreams of Furiae)
- Sam & Max Beyond Space & Time (Original)
- Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun (Part 2, 64-bit version only)
- Shadowrun Dragonfall - Director's Cut (Part 1)
- Shadowrun Returns (Part 2)
- SOMA (Part 2)
- System Shock Enhanced Edition
- The Planet Crafter (both parts)
- Thief 1
- Thief 2

GoG's in the process of switching over to another CDN, maybe?
They already did so a couple years back, if I remember correctly, with similar technical hiccups along the way.

We're currently experiencing some issues with our downloads but the team is aware and working on it! I'll let you know when the situation changes, apologies for the inconvenience.

You can add Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice VR to that list.

Please stop purchases until the download situation is resolved.

edit: It's not just an inconvenience when you buy something and can't get what you bought.

That would be a bit extreme. The issue is going to be resolved - stopping people from making purchases when there are active sales going on would be more of a problem than a temporary issue with downloads.

That is my intent. My continued business with the GOG store is contingent on my ability to download ALL of my purchases.

The community already has developed tooling that traverses all owned games on the GOG store and reports bad download links.

GOG staff is more than welcome to use them to proactively fix bad downloads if manually troubleshooting all the games on the store is too time consuming, but there is no excuse.

Accessing your purchased games through ANY of the supported channels (both the browser and Galaxy) should not be some kind of Herculean task on the part of the consumer.

It's really not. GOG needs to get their act together and fix their platform.

As a competent software engineer, I'm telling you this is ridiculous.

There is no excuse for bad software. Just bad developers and/or bad management.

Every download system I have ever used, including Steam, has had hiccups in their service here and there. Unless this lasts a LOT longer I think you're being a bit hyperbolic.

Its one thing to have a hiccup in the system that eventually auto-corrects (preferably automatically or otherwise some employee proactively detects it and acts on it before it becomes a problem for users).

It's quite another to have some downloads that are perpetually broken that somebody has to manually act on to fix where it is next to impossible to report an issue to get it fixed.

There were other cases. I'm starting to get really fed up with being treated like a second class customer on the GOG store because I use the offline installers honestly.

I shouldn't have to beg to download my purchases.

I've had this issue since yesterday on some games. Still not resolved.

Edit: Just purchased a newly released game and it 404's too. Beware. GOG really should have some automated tests to see if a user can download all offline installers or files from their account page when a game is updated or released. If not, alerts are sent out so you can investigate, fix and resolve. My 2 cents.

GOG needs to be aware that it is not providing the products that it is selling: this thread suffices as notification.

GOG needs to be aware that if it can't provide downloads for the products it is selling, there is the option to suspend sales of those products until it is able to provide downloads for those products. This thread suffices as notification.

I wonder whether GOG is hoping that everything "blows over" until the "temporary" problem that has reportedly occurred many times over the last few months but seems to be more serious this time is fixed again until the next time it occurs.

This thread is 6 hours old and is the first I've heard of it. If it is a persistent issue or takes a while to fix then I will agree it is bad, but unless I've missed something for weeks now I again think you're being hyperbolic.

Also the offline installers are available and easier to get through Galaxy. Are those downloading?

Why don't you check before posting?

Or is everyone in this thread being extremely pedantic?
