Well, I was happy to see some titles on sale and looked at Undertale which I have yet to purchase (too many things to play) and noticed the base price of C$13.59 here on GoG but remembered quite well that on Steam it is C$10.99 when not on sale - of course with the current sale it comes down to C$6.79 which is lower than Steam and already quite a good deal from what I've seen of this game (watched part of the speedrun that ended AGDQ2017 last month) - but then I look at Shovel Knight, another title I'll eventually get and on sale at 15% here but its more expensive than base price Steam..

I know Steam adjusts base prices to certain economical factors like average or median income of countries, so I guess GoG just does straight up conversion between USD and CAD - sometimes I'd rather buy from GoG but this conversion rate forces me to wait or to get it on Steam, its really too bad.

A common complaint. GOG adjusts prices far more regularly according to exchange rates than Steam does, so it ends up many times meaning a higher price here than on Steam. I guess it boils down to whether you're willing to pay extra for a completely unfettered game or less for one tied to a client.

Do we really need one of these threads every second day? Given that the Canadians still get a pretty good price (on average they pay 15.7% less than the base price for the 179 regional priced games in their country), I can't really see the reason for all the complains.

I would say that the games aren't overpriced for Canadians here, they are underpriced at Steam. Or is there really a reason that people from Canada have to get their games cheaper than most people from Africa, Asia or Eastern Europe (except for the Ex-Soviet countries)?

A simple observation made, I see you got triggered by this. Too bad.

The current CAD/USD exchange rate is 1.30617, so if you're Canadian it's actually cheaper to use USD instead of CAD when buying games on GOG.

It's funny how people from rich countries start to complain about the lack of regional pricing... Until now only people from poor countries did that.

And poles have preferential pricing... But for example in Romania, which is one of the poorest countries in Europe, we have german prices everywhere. Because it's normal to pay half your salary for a game in some people's opinion.

Preferential? Maybe for some titles but for instance Undertaile is 5.38$ for me - using 0.76 CAD/USD it gives CAD $ 7.03.

For me it's $10.

The discounted price $4.99 so it's the US price in this case.

You should be happy now as developers consider Romanians as wealthy as Americans....Still - you have to work hard to join Poles&Canadians prospierity league :-P

Just a tiny comment. It doesn't really force anyone. What you probably want to say is that if by chance prices here are a certain amount (30%) more expensive than elsewhere then you won't buy them here. That's absolutely fine but also not a very big thing. Happens every day.
