kusumahendra: nope. Nothing wrong with it. Talking about music is half the fun of this thread. The other half is of course listening to all those recommendations :)

snowkatt: how far in are you so far ?
My workplace doesn't have WiFi so I'm not listening to any right now. Data plan in my country is too pricey for youtube. I'm still in the middle of page 2. Tonight will be a damn good night with all this songs to listen to

Can it download directly to mp3? Or do you know add on that do?

There are other similar extensions and also websites that can convert youtube to mp3, but you have to watch out since some may have adwares. Just search for a firefox addon "youtube to mp3" and see what you can find.

Personally, I use OGYouTube for Android phones. It's not a perfect app with some bugs, but it work for me. I know in some country like India, Google allow their YouTube app to have an offline mode. Where as in North America they have this thing called "YouTube Red" where you have to pay monthly subscription to get the offline mode which I think is a waste of money.

tinyE: WTF!
That was a serious post.

Mr Bungle are one of the most unique and unappreciated bands of all time.

I'm willing to bet there are more than a few fans of them lurking in this forum. :D
fan here too. I love the first one and some of the demos.

My recommendation :

You can use peggo.co to download mp3 directly.

EDIT: looks like it's changed to peggo.tv also.

A little eyecandy: ( if it doesn't get too pricey for you)
Fernsehballett - Eine Insel mit zwei Bergen 2012
Fernsehballett - Cabaret 2010

OK. So here are what I think about what's recommended in Page 2

avatar
Spy_Gentleman: Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity
Jamiroquai - Twenty Zero One
Air - Radio Number 1
Joey DeLuxe - Undercover
Virtual Insanity is amazing. Radio Number 1 is not bad. Undercover is interestingly good. I rarely hear funk music. Sounds good, very suitable to be used as soundtrack for cyberpunk :D

avatar
Breja: Happy to introduce you to both. Wall of Voodoo had a rather short career, but Stan Ridgway (the singer) went on to a solo career, and had some really great songs, like Drive She Said and The Big Heat.

As for Cohen, probably my ver favourite singer ever, you have decades of great songs to listen through. Just a few I love most
That Stan Ridgway has a very distinct voice. I like it. And Cohen, how do I put it. His voice is majestic. So charismatic. Damn, I'm in for a treat with this guy

sasuke12: Something weird I came across-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bEDM4bsfWg
It's quite good. Video clip might be weird, but the song is pretty good

avatar
drealmer7: for the OP:
Therion - Via Nocturna
This is straight up Castlevania final boss theme :D

avatar
DieRuhe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvMHzD7ufVg

The Lagan - Guinness and Chips
The video is not available, but I tried another song titled "Fields Of Athenry" and I like it. Sounds like I got another big dig site :)

avatar
babark: I am lazy, so just browse through here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlNfKMceOqgYnyJYKYS88BxKCs9Rp1zBx :D
Watch 3 first clips. All is good. Will revisit later

avatar
bad_fur_day1: Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack, and your all good. Music problem solved.
I give some tracks a try, not sure if I dig it. Will do a second look later

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. Thank you

avatar
Cavalary: So here's that playlist.
Give 3 first tracks a try. THESE ARE GOLDEN!!! Thank you.

And people, with this, I conclude my view of page 2. So far, amazing journey.
I will take a break for a while, have dinner and do a bit of job. After that I'll do with page 3. Thanks all
Sonata Arctica *Take a note. Cool stuff. Will check later

Ballad Of The Lower East Side is good, not quite enjoy Bonnie Und Clyde

Whoa, this is good.

avatar
BadDecissions: I don't necessarily find them to be as consistent as Cohen, but I'll throw Nick Cave and the Bad seeds in the ring:
Red Right Hand
The Song of Joy
Nick Cave and the Bad seeds is quite interesting. Their songs seems to tell stories. I think it's worth a further look
Thanks

fishbaits: Endvra - Dark Face of Eve.

From the album Great God Pan.
Okay... I'm not sure what to feel about this one. It's monotonous, not even sure I'm gonna put this in good category, yet I can shake the feeling that this song has some deeper meaning.

nirvana, as usual, good. What else to say
queen, I don't usually listen to their music. Perhaps I should
That one hell of a theme, LOTR one.
Adiemus - Karl Jenkins. NICE ONE!!!
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, can't enjoy their songs. Not my taste
academy of saint martin in the fields canon in D, this is a very well know song in east / south east asia, since a popular tv series (taiwanesse if I'm not mistaken) use it in one of their episodes. Still, this version is very clear, sounds great
offenbach orpheus in the under world the infernal galop, this one brings back memories of watching cartoon series in 80/90s :D
straus the radetzky march, another well know songs in old cartoon series
william tell overture final, THE LONE RANGER!!!! Never know this is from classical piece
simon and garfunkel el condor pasa, good one. I heard it long ago. Nice to hear it once again
zager and evans in the year 2525, this one is very interesting. I mean, very.
blues saraceno the river, pretty good. A bit repetitive, but the singer sounds good

I'll leave the rest for tomorrow. Thanks
