Hopefully I'm just overlooking the link.

Not officially. However, sometimes users will post the official changelogs in the games' respective subforums.

Would be nice if GOG were to put changelogs linked in the store pages too, or if a 3rd party plugin like Barefoot or Adalia could do so, although it might not be easy to do client-side.

I was trying to find a way to link them through MaGog, but with the website going all HTTPS and mrkgnao now leaving that doesn't seem likely...

Unfortunately they're not accessible by any method that doesn't require you to be logged in to retrieve the data (that I've found), so I can't just grab them and put them on the store pages..
Unfortunately, as others said, there is currently no way to do that officially. You can try to find the game's / the developers' webpage and look for a changelog there. If it is just about a few games, post the titles here and someone who owns those games will be able to post the changelog for you.
It's not available, but there is a thread which keeps track of all changes with change logs:

Out of interest, why? I mean is it to check its the latest version or something, otherwise if you don't own the game what difference does it make knowing the changes? I can however understand wanting to know the current version for games that are new or still under development and this should be on the game page really.

The problem is that, with everything in a single thread, it is not easy to find the information on the specific game you're looking for.

Some game specific boards have individual changelog threads, which works much better, as you don't have to wade through a whole bunch of irrelevant information about games you don't care about.

if you have the game id, you can get the changelog like this:
https://api.gog.com/products/1429864849?expand=changelog

works without being logged in, but the problem might be game bundles where you don't know the game ids of the individual games. Unless you can extract those from somewhere else

Or use the "search" link on that thread's pages. It's located at both the top and bottom of the full list of posts on each of the pages for any thread, on the righthand side, next to the "+ new post" link. Typing in words in that search field searches the posts in only that thread. (Or so it seems to work for me in that way, but maybe I've misinterpreted the search results.)

Oh. I stand corrected.

Well, you can expect something in the next update for my script then :)

mrkgnao is gone for only one day and everybody already forgot about MaGog???

Yes, but that assumes the game:
1. is included in the thread
2. is spelled the way you typed it, and
3. is something that is searchable (for example, "Ultima" is contained in other words, including "Ultimate", which has been known to appear in game titles).

There's also the fact that search takes longer than just opening a thread that is *just* about the game in question. Even searching for the game specific board is *much* faster.

OT: I noticed that there's no game specific board for Akalabeth.

Unfortunately, changelogs are, officially, only accessible through one's account if they own a game.

But as think that's not in the right direction, the community tries to make them publicly available.

As mentioned already, you could check the "What did just update" thread, though finding the latest changelog for a specific game would require some time and effort.

We also try to post them in the game specific forum - you can check for sticky threads called "Changelog".

There is a Community Wishlist entry for them to be posted in the game specific fora, if you want to vote for it.

As things are, your best bet is to visit (this is a feature-rich search engine [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/magog_a_search_engine_for_gog_games/post1]mrkgnao created and maintains), search for a game you're interested in, and check out its changelogs - it's the link right above "Minimum System Requirements".

For example, if you search for Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition you'll get this page.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I knew it was possible to view changelogs without owning the game, but couldn't find the relevant post. Now to see how I'll be able to remember this one ;)

See immi101's post. I think that was how mrkgnao also parsed the changelogs, not sure though.
Edit: Indeed, it was that way, again thanks to immi101.
