Beat Nocturne earlier this year again. Gameplay-wise it's a lot worse than I remembered it but damn, that's one horror game that really should have spawned an entire franchise.

Madshaker: love to see all 3 of the blair witch games here in a pack the one with the nocturne engine was spooky and fun..
As far as I know all of them are powered by the Nocturne engine, it's just that only the first episode was developed by Terminal Reality and featured characters from Nocturne.

i found someone that supposedly made Nocturne maps back in the day.

It was in this post here

https://www.facebook.com/NightDiveStudios/posts/726367220838701?hc_location=ufi" class="light_un" target="_blank

and i asked him if he could come here (or post me a link with his maps), but he hasn't answered yet.

But i also found this YT channel. Some interesting but kind of amateur-showcased stories :

Thank you for reposting my facebook post :) Im the owner of the Nocturne fan page :D. Man I hope we gett enough likes and comments when it comes to this post. As of now Im going to email Night Dive studios and bring it up to there attention.
For the hell of it, I just tried Nocturne again in Windows 10, I haven't tried it since Windows 7.

And holy shit. It seems to run perfectly in Win98 compatibility mode now, with hardware acceleration. But I didn't play very long yet.

This is the first time i've got the game to even successfully launch since Windows XP.

We could always try to contact them and try to buy the license. I'm pretty sure that a kickstarter would be successful.

Edit: found his linkedin profile, sent him a message.

The rights might be with Take 2/2K, who recently joined GOG (although user Grargar might know the details better).
bump!

Autumn is here. Halloween is close. We need this game along with the Blair Witch Project games!

Come on GOG!!! You can do it!

BTW : Here's the site i remember reading about 8 years ago that said of the custom made maps:

http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/terminalreality/nocturne.htm

And here's the part talking about it

And if that wasn't enough, players could always design their own missions, worlds and characters in the Nocturne engine, provided solid technical skills and a copy of 3D Studio Max. Half-Life had only just begun to make modding en-vogue when TRI released their editing tools for the game, and it had previously almost always been the domain of the FPS genre. In consequence, the progressive step didn't bear much fruit, but there have been at least 4 custom missions created by one "Agent Heretic", as attested on an archived 3D Action Planet fan site, which now seem to have been lost forever.
Edit #2 : Oops! Seems like i've reposted this link to the site on my original post here! Memory loss!

Would love to have Nocturne on gog.

Insta-buy for me.

I love old school horror games.
-The World Is A Dark Place.
-Who will protect the World from Darkness?
-We Will.

doccarnby: Timeslip?

MikeMaximus: I believe that's the person who has done a few patches for GoG already to make some older games work, and amazing things like MGE for Morrowind and ddfix for System Shock 2/Thief etc.
Timeslip is the original Creator of NMM (Nexus Mod Manager)

To be clear he created both;
ObMM (Oblivion Mod Manager), and;
FoMM (Fallout Mod Manager), for F3 and NV.

NMM was originally an inferior port of FoMM, when it was only for Bethesda Games, and released for Skyrim.

FoMM was still better, though MO (Mod Organiser) is the best for Skyrim.

Coincidently, MO's creator Tannin, has juzt got the job of lead developer for a new NMM, made from scratch.
Expect good things, MO was an hobby, whilst working full time on other things.
So he can devote all his talents to the new project.
bump!
Nice to see the thread here still. I eventually got Nocturne working, but then my graphics card died and my new computer doesn't have a disc drive, so reinstalling would be a pain, but assuming it works I can just copy it over from the old hard drive to the new computer. I also got the Blair Witch games, but I haven't tried them yet.
