I see very little buzz about Bard's Tale IV, or Pathfinder Kingmaker. I preordered/backed both, and I'm happy with development of games I plan to play.
Bard's Tale is out in less than three days, while Pathfinder needs a whole week before it's release.
I'm also looking forward to Iratus Lord of the dead, Children of Morta, Spire of Sorcery, and Eitr.
Other than that, Labyrint of Refran, Mineko's Night Market, Wytchwook and Eternity the last Unicorn are others I hope to see soon.

What are yours?

Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones
To be honest I am waiting with anticipation for remakes of Bards Tale (once all are completed I will buy the package) and of course remake of Wasteland 1 I simply cannot wait for it. From new releases I am interested in Wasteland 3.

Regarding new Bards Tale, I have mixed feelings - in my opinion the 2D portraits do not blend well with the 3D environment. Furthermore the light columns bordering fields makes me wonder if the title - with all due respect - should not be named The Bards Tale: The Guitar Hero. On the other hand the tactical battles look interesting and the team is dedicated so maybe I will consider purchase at some point once I read several reviews.

BeatriceElysia I hope you will be happy with the game, please share your thoughts on the game once you get to know it.

Pathfinder seems nice but I will wait a while before getting it. As for the Bard's Tale, I will also wait a couple of years for it to 'mature' :).

If by mature you mean let the pricetag shrivel, I'm with you.
Personally, I had enough disappointments, so I don't wait for any particular game. Even if the game has all indications to be good, like Cyberpunk 2077, I will not preorder it and probably even wait further for bugs being fixed and prices to low down.

Why to jump on a hype train if I had a lot of games still unfinished, including RPG classics like Baldurs Gate 1-2 and Planescape?

Pricetag and patches. I'm still bummed that I bought Wasteland 2 quite early, finished half of it and then Wasteland 2 Director's Cut came out and saves weren't compatible. And I'm sure as hell won't restart the game.
I look forward to different games than the classic CRPG, so mines are:
Copper Dreams and Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones.
Cyberpunk 2077 is on my list too.
I went balls out on pathfinder and brought the most expensive one. Get the next 3 dlc then which makes it a bit better and with the 6£ back I got Elex on discount. Not too bad a deal.
Bards tale I will wait and see, I am very mixed about that and the couple of missing updates for the previous one...
As for any others, well, see when they come out.
I am looking forward to doom forever, rage 2, new tomb raider, and new assassins creed games though!
Kingdoms of the Dump
Earthbound like aesthetics, but actually looks good. Battles are kind of tactical.
I'm a sucker for games that look like this, so I am biased as hell.
No idea about GOG support.

Atom RPG
Pretty much Fallout 1/2 in post-apoc Soviet Russia. Backer builds are out and have mostly positive reviews on Steam.
They have contacted GOG before, saying they will contact them again when the product is mostly final.

Encased
Has 'old-school RPG' in it's name. Looks to hold true to it as well.
Stated to arrive on GOG as well as other places in 2019.

e: Forgot to add that Encased is currently in the process of being funded. I believe the other two are good to go, cash wise.

I'm looking forward to Irontower studios' new game ("colony ship rpg", "The new world"...iirc they're looking for a new title now). Is only scheduled for release in fall 2020 though.
Well,I have Pathfinder, Stygian, and Bard's Tale all wishlisted. But that doesn't mean I'll buy any of them on release. I will let them mature, too.

But, I am almost through Mass effect 2 right now. Next big rpg on my to-play list is maybe Divinity Original Sin, or maybe Underrail. I'm thinking I would like something turn based.
I have them wishlisted - however the rather high pricing for them has me waiting for reviews before diving in
Back in 2012 TaleWorlds announced they were working on the next Mount & Blade game (Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlords). I am waiting and waiting and already have one foot in the grave. It might come out too late for me.

A lot of games seem promising but you never know before you have played them, do you now.

Bannerlord, that's just a myth, like half life 3. Prophesy of pendor, bones of ragnvald, and a couple other mods had recent updates, and perisno might get an update soon. Best we can hope for.
