1) in any given situation, stop and think what is the opposite of being selfish
2) please do proper research on female sexuality
3) Take on a cause, greenpease, the environment, who cares, just be good at pretending to be into it.
4) Sometimes you need to take the initiative... do a load of washing without being asked, take her to a live show etc etc
5) here is one you probably all know quite well already.... be good at pretending to be interested in her life,,, some encouragement where it was not requested always works wonders too :)

That pretty much covers it
You know, I swore to myself I wasn't going to get into a serious discussion here, and come on- I'm the last guy who should talk about this, but still... if you have to pretend so much, if you have to pretend to be interested in her life... you're probably with the wrong woman. And you're wasting her time and yours.

Oh come on, OP was being too vague. It wasn't even specified by deathknight1728 that the other person was a woman. It's okay to skip out on information which might be private but there has to be something more specific about the relationship or its problems mentioned when looking for advice.

he wanted a PM from someone willing to be helpful in a general way because obviously he wasn't comfortable being open about it, and he gets tons of shit. Either reach out to a fellow human in need, or not. I did, and it has been fruitful and now I have a new internet friend. Does it matter if it's about a man or woman? If anyone else bothered to PM him and ask what his woes are, you would have found that the OP was fine. You're all making ASSumptions and mostly being jerks to a fellow human who is trying to get help. Not cool.

Well, i did offered my help for advice in the thread earlier but requested more info as it was indeed too vague. However, i nv hear from him either in the thread or via PM so i figured he either had enough help already or dun cared for my help/advice. So while i was prepared to give him further advice, he wld hv to either PM me more details 1st but since i didn't get any i'll hv to assume he dun need it (or @ least my help) anymore.

Guess i did wat i felt i could already...

I really didn't see anything mean out there. We're just busting balls, making fun. Since he explicitly asked for a PM, it made it obvious he's not going to actually discuss it in the thread, so the thread was sort of left there hanging, and let's be honest, it was just perfect to make some jokes. And that's all they were- jokes. The OP has been here since 2010, I think he knows how this community works, and such shenenigans are to be expected, and are friendly.

It's gallows humor. Because, as you might understand, many of us are basically clueless when it comes to this stuff and it's a small miracle that any of us have found women who want to be with us, let alone put up with us for more than a few minutes.

And maybe out of it he got a laugh or two to help lighten his load. Laughter being "the best medicine" and all that...
