Just because GOG isn't policing over your products doesn't mean you should go distributing copies of your games.

Yes, the games are DRM-free.

However:

If your friend bought you a gift code/key, then yes, you can activate it and use it via Galaxy. If it's your friend's game and they're just giving you the installer, that's not allowed.
I wouldn't abuse GOG's trust by GIVING people games from your library though. You know what happens when they get tired of that? You get steam :)

Leaving aside the legality of sharing copies of GOG games (it's not legal), I think GOG Galaxy will only properly support games that you bought on your own account, or gift codes you redeemed on your own account.
