Tpol: In the case of Cyberpunk I'm talking about a genuine retailer. A retailer who has been online for a few years and from whom I've bought several games that were all legit.
Go on, name it then. Pretty sure its not legit at all.

It's funny, they all say it was a legit retailer, like that will make the key magically work.

Tpol: I won't mention the name through respect for GOG.
GOG doesn't mind at all, they have a legit deal with only two-three anyway.

As mentioned, I wouldn't at all if I were you (both meanings actually), but if you decide then be prepared for being scammed and GOG taking the game from you... been countless others that have fallen for that fly-trap.

Just buy directly from GOG always to be sure you not only support them, but also save you some massive headaches when/if it's not legit somehow.
