I remember playing a game as a kid where you had to put a house fire out. I know it isn't Tomba 2, because it wasn't overhead. It was either third person or first person. There was somebody in the house yelling for help and a countdown timer on the screen. I believe the game had a cartoony look. I believe it was a Playstation 1 game.

Rosco McQueen: Firefighter Extreme

It was Playstation game with cartoony look, and a firefighting theme. I'm not sure about the first-person perspective or timer though.
There's also Burning Rangers, but it was a Saturn game.
Thanks for the responses guys. Unfortunately, neither of these was the answer, but Rosco McQueen: Firefighter Extreme is similar to what I'm looking for. I know however, it was an outside level. Maybe it was on a next gen console.
Is it Real Heroes: Firefighter? There's an HD version here.

No, it wasn't on the Wii, I know that for sure. Also, I'm certain the game didn't entirely revolve around putting fires out, and that it was just one of the missions in an early level. I also want to say it was on a farm where the building was on fire.

Erm,...it's not a Wii exclusive. It's available on Steam, too. Just saying.
It was also for Playstation IV.
Either way, the console I remember playing it on was VERY early. Gamecube/ Sega console/ early PS2 game at the LATEST.
Those aren't very early but okay. You might be better off looking up every single firefighting game ever made.
Would this help?

Was it this?

Since it's PS2 (at latest), it's probably Firefighter F.D.18

It wasn't the game in the video, but thank you for the list. I'll review it and see if I can find anything.

Edit: I reviewed the list and still couldn't find it.

All I can remember from the games about fire is Sam Power:Firefighter, Jake Power:Fireman, My hero:Firefighter. But those are DS Games, not for PlayStation 1. Although it is possible that the games were available for the PS, I do not know about it. I'm most leaning towards it being similar to My Hero. I like racing games better and prefer to play it on the PC, so I don't know if my assumptions about these fighting fires games will help you.

Talin_Warhaft: Can somebody please tell me what this game is?
Ok, after going through this whole thread as it presents itself so far, I think you’re sending people on the wrong path with your initial request.

As you can see, so far, everyone has made proposals revolving around the firefighting aspect, yet in your second response (post #6) you state that (quote):

„the game didn't entirely revolve around putting fires out" and "it was just one of the missions in an early level.“

Going through all your posts again, I think what you are looking for, is a:

- 3D Jump’n’Run (3D Platformer) not unlike Tomba 2 (https://youtu.be/jI8i4K7cd8c?t=846), as in: its graphics were comic-like, with the camera either put (on eye-level) behind the player character, or played in first-person view.
- in an early level/mission of said game, you had to rescue someone from a burning building. That someone was probably calling for help, and (at least) this mission (putting the fire out) probably was time limited.
- The game probably took (mostly) part in outside levels, and the burning building in the mission/level with the fire rescue was probably a farm (-building).
- you played this game on a console. It was (most likely) on a PS 1, but could also be on any of the other consoles of that same generation (or the following generation) like: Sega Saturn, Sega 32X, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Nintendo GameCube, or Xbox.

Maybe this is better suited, to stir up someone's memory.
Friday the 13th was similar to this with the countdown timer and saving people but instead of putting fires out you would light the fireplaces. It was also an outside farmy cartoonish look with saving people inside. Not sure this is it but sometimes old memories deceive us.
