Maybe you could look into Uplink: Hacker Elite as well. Not exactly cyberpunk but ticks a lot of your boxes. Plus it's really cool.

Quite some time ago I bought it on steam sale. If you can find it $1, it's very much worth it. People describe it as what Deus Ex would be if the dev is high on crack. Gameplay is fun but story doesn't make sense at all

I just remembered a buddy of mine owns it on Steam so I can play his as we use Steam Family Sharing. Normally that would kind of suck every time the owner wanted to use Steam, but he's computerless at the moment more or less so I could ravage his game library for a while. Come to think of it I could finally try out South Park The Stick of Truth now too... hrm.. I wonder what else he's got there now... :oP

And before anyone else makes any comments about this being piracy or any crap like that - it is a legal Steam feature to let you try out games owned by other people with some important restrictions, not piracy. If someone doesn't understand it, google "Steam Family Sharing" before shooting off any holier than thou anti-piracy crap. :) (I made a point to say this as I've seen uninformed people shoot their faces off about this very topic before and ask questions later) :oP

Oh crap, he owns Shadow of Mordor too... another game I have been highly drooling over. I think I'm gonna install that one tonight. :)

I was a bit skeptical about this game, but I found it surprisingly good.  Remember Me has an engaging story, a great atmosphere, plenty of action, and interesting gameplay mechanics.  If you like Batman, Tomb Raider or Mirror’s Edge, you'll probably love this game.  Keep in mind that you need a controller to really enjoy it.  Here's a <span class="bold">gameplay video</span> to get a better idea of the game.

I like all the Tomb Raider games, enjoyed what I played of the 1st Batman game. I own Mirror's Edge but only tried to play it once and kept getting killed during the tutorial when you have to walk a tightrope between two buildings on a metal pipe or something like that and got tired of the slowness of the game in letting me try again so I exited it and played something else and just never tried it again but I'm interested in it. Need to try it on a day where I have more patience for game quirks. :)

I own 2 game controllers but I'm mostly not a game controller person except with some platformers and games I consider "console-like" where by console I mean old-school console, not modern.

On the other hand thought, I've been very surprised with what this old card capable of. Mordor is the only one in my whole games library that I can't play. Everything else do butter smooth on low or medium when pairing with my trusty Intel I3 3.6 GHZ. Granted, I don't play many new games

LOL - you might possibly get it to work by using tricks from that "Low tech gamer" guy on youtube assuming your card supports the minimum version of DirectX or OpenGL or whatever the game needs. It might not though as that one sounds like it is pretty old. I shouldn't laugh too loud though, my HD7850 is below spec for that game I think too, and while I got away with that with The Witcher 3, that game was highly optimized and overstated it's minimum requirements a bit to be on the safe side. Not sure about Shadow of Mordor mind you.

I can at least try it though, but 99% of what I've seen about the game has been really good and positive so I'll most likely get a copy of the GOTY some day when it hits the sweet spot price or whatnot. Funny thing is the game is perpetually like $43 on Steam with the GOTY upgrade another $11 but the entire game is perpetually like $12 or so on Bundlestars who claim to have authentic authorized keys and that always seemed very strange to me.

Just wanted to say thank you to whoever recommended the System Shock games. I bought the first one on Gog and after discovering the E key for mouse look and then figuring out just what I am supposed to be doing, I have come to the conclusion that it is awesome. The cyberspace stuff is about as close to how Gibson describes it in his books as any game has come and the real-world space station stuff is just as amazing.

Definitely Beneath a Steel Sky if you're into adventure games. It's even free.
