Cringe how you people always salt the wound of anyone that expresses themselves.
The absolute state of disrepair that is known as gog is still defended by its sycophants.

You're the reason why gog is so lackadaisical when it comes to literally everything.

Sorry to see you go, but very understandable. Hope you have less problems on other platforms :) Good luck!

MajorPayne5811: Paid for Hard West 2 an hour after it was released.

Went into my account > Manual Download > clicked on the first file link > "404 not found"

Clicked on Contact Us > sent me to a bot-style chat???

At least it worked to request a refund.

Since you can't take the time to help me with a download issue or better yet just make sure the system works, I have no concerns throwing money at Steam from this day forward.

EDIT

Just to be clear, I tried the same download process in the latest version of Firefox, Chrome, and Edge.
ok
Well...bye.
What a wonderfully welcoming community we are. O___o~
Not like, I have never bought game from steam that has not work on release. haha

Interesting I had more games not work on steam when release than GOG. Stuff happens no matter what service you use.

Telika: Amusingly, not everyone reacts like you.

Mind blown, hm ?
It a common thing for people to overblown everything GOG nowadays.

DoomSooth: You've gone from DRM-free to free DRM.

StingingVelvet: That's always the funniest thing about these posts.

Also I highly recommend playing new releases through Galaxy because of all the patches. You can still download an offline installer backup now or in the future (even through Galaxy!).
They'll just lie to themselves that only Steam is DRM-free.

Not exactly a welcoming situation, as the OP has been a member of GOG since August 2015.

And honestly with such a dramatic departure, they got exactly what should be expected.

Most folk if they don't like something, just disappear quietly.

I don't know about Steam or any of the other gaming stores, but many seem to wear their heart on their sleeve when it comes to GOG ... quite the dramatic place at times ... some demanding, some complaining, some loving and some hating, some giving advice, some giving warnings, some denouncing etc ... probably good fodder for a TV show or documentary.
Low rated OP huh, wasn't that supposed to be impossible now?

Sad situation in any case, and I'm not a fan of all these robots everywhere either. It's virtually impossible to get in touch with a human being anywhere now, and I'm sad to see GOG go down the path of "no customer support" as well. Not exactly a step in the right direction :(

rojimboo: Wow, someone managed to get him downvoted.

Impressive.
That does raise an eyebrow or two. We have officially entered the Twilight Zone...du du du du...

It's not hard to talk with real person on GOG, Just follow the chat bot and you can make a ticket. I had issue last mouth that was solved by real GOG staff. You want impossible try contacting the IRS for help. lol
